I finally decided to uploud a drawing of mine. I'd like to get some feedback on one of mine, so enjoy! Also, the shading didn't really come out good because my scanner isn't the best. Anyway, hope you like it!

Wow, I think this is really in depth. I think the childish innocence is really portrayed and I think you have a real talent!

Hello there! I, Daisuki, will be attempting to review your art today :3

I really like this piece overall. It has a nice tone to it, and your proportions are really great. Hands are a big challenge for most artists, but you seemed to have done them very well.

Now, the first thing I notice when I look at this is that it looks like the girl has some mental problems. If this was the intention, then I actually think that's a great idea and really adds to the innocence and childhood-feeling of this piece. Otherwise, there's some things you can do to improve. I want to say something like the eyes being crossed does it, but I really think the problem is in the mouth. It's lopsided and looks too relaxed, like the owner has no control over it (this leading to the thought that the girl is mentally disabled). If you fix the mouth into a more meaningful expression, perhaps the eyes will look more focused, as if they are gazing up at something. Even a little less cross-eyes would help this, too.

So her left hand is really beautifully drawn - I love it so much. However, her other hand and her chest are quite flat. She looks kind of young and probably doesn't have much of a chest, but I see you put a little line for clevage, right? If she's flat-chested I wouldn't recomend this. It might be a better idea to leave out that line.

The arm she is resting on could use a little more angle and shadowing to give it some depth.

This is a really, really beautiful piece. You have amazing talent - I just love the expression, the eye style, the hand. I love the sketchy-ness of the piece and how the overall impression is peaceful and comforting. Thanks for sharing this, and please keep drawing!

Before I review your piece of art, I wished you would rotate your image to the right using an editing program so that it would be properly reviewed by others. I'd suggest using Picnik, it is simple and easy to use.

Back to your drawing:
I usually love drawings that involve kids, they're full of deepness and beauty. In case of your drawing, I would add grief; for that the girl's eyes are so beautiful showing all those emotions I've mentioned before. I have had the same thought that the girl might have mental issues, or she had been abused.

Some points I'd like to mention related to your drawing:
1- Facial Features: The eyes are great, but the left eye seems to be so far from the right one. The nose is a little bit tilted as well as the lips. I like her diamond-shaped face and her eyebrows, they're beautiful.
2- Hair: The hair seems to be randomly shadowed. If you've added some shadowing to the hair especially at the top of the head, it would add more detail and accuracy to the drawing.
3- Arms: The right arm seems to be thicker than the left one. Try to fix that. The hands are really beautiful, well done with that!

Overall, it was a great sketch. Keep practicing on drawing portraits, they're never easy unless you give huge effort in practicing. Looking forward to review more of your drawings. = )
