"How was your day, honey?"
"Well, let's see. I didn't wear my uniform, forgot my homework, got smacked in the face with a soccer ball, my best friend hates me... but I drew some pictures I like, so it was pretty cool."

Drew this while I was emotional... and kinda think the depression was worth it! I like this one. You have to look at it upside down and right side up to see both expressions, though. They were supposed to be the same person, with different mixes of emotions as she thinks and see different sides of her problem.

Two different colorings of a mermaid. I know her face is dark on the second one, but I thought it made her look cool and mysterious.

Hey There -
I am an avid art lover, and I loved your sketches. THe first two have a distinct manga flavor, but they have something about them... It's different. I like it.
The mermaid was incredible. I personally like the black and white version better - its more mystifying -more stark. The viewer can add their own color, and make it what they want, if that makes any sense.

Loved it! Keep it up, Daisuki!!!

Best Regards -

Hi there Daisuki!

Wow. Wish I was half as good as you drawing. :o This is amazing. I kind of like how their eyes look like blue things... "Avatar"... xD And the tears and hair, just flawless. I love it. :D About the mermaid just... no words, really. <333 You keep drawing, because it's your thing. xD

Before I do this, I want to make sure you know I'm dying on the side. I don't do gush reviews. I loathe gush reviews. But this...oh man, that blue mermaid is gorgeous. proportions, shading, amazingly done. What did you use? watercolor? if so, big, big kudos. Watercolor is amazingly hard to deal with. And even if it wasn't, still kudos because it's gorgeous and making me gush my heart out.

In the first pic, second, or third pic, I can't find anything to nit pick or anything. Any squiggly or slightly sloppy lines don't bother me in the least. I think it just adds character and style to it. I love it.

Be sure to tell me what you used to color that.

...and don't make me gush again XD

I loved the mermaids, I thought they were stunning and ethereal. How did you do that with so much detail? You must have an extremely steady hand and I wish I had your talent to be able to included so many emotions into drawing- Seriously you say to me draw a person and you'd get a stick man. I personally think that the blue mermaid is brilliant because the blue just makes me think that there is something more, something mysterious and something sad.

Seriously brilliant!!!

Keep drawing!! :)

Hi Daisuki,

You're really good at this! the first two drawings looked really great. I expressions were well drawn. And I agree, the darker mermaid does look mysterious. Great job! Loved it.

Hmm, I like the Blue Mermaid a lot better. Why? Well, I love color, I guess. Plus the blue looks wispy and finished and more professional than the second. But that's just my opinion. (Which is why I'm an anime and NOT a manga fan. xD )

As for the first two pics, the first version is better. I don't know about the background...it's a little overdone. (the pattern isn't as original as it could be, and filling in the whole space with it is redundant.) The drop shadow looks a little contrived, but that's just me. (I would have blended the image into the background, and added a few more elements. Color, flower/vines, etc. But again that's just me.)
On the composition: One right side up, and the other upside down is unsual. Did you try any other arrangments before deciding on this one? Anyway, they look similar, but the hair threw me off. I wasn't sure if it was the some person. Which is why I like version one better, it masks their differences and makes them seem like the same person.

great job! I love your artwork--it makes mine seem so...UN-talented. ;)

.......WWWOOOOWWW! That is so good! :O
What if I fall and hurt myself, would you know how to fix me? What if I went and lost myself, would you know where to find me? If I forgot who I am, would you please remind me, because without you things go hazy.

These are all REALLY REALLY good. Especially since you drew them all. I really like the petite black and white mermaid it spoke to me the most. All of these are exceptional though. Keep up the great work!
