I am so sorry I have not been posting more often, my mother has been very ill and I have been taking care of the house and my much younger brothers so I have not had much time for my SB- I'm sorry. I am also sorry if this is terribly rough- I wrote it in a hurry! Thank you all so much for keeping this SB going even in my absence! <33)
Itaeo: running through the halls like a man possessed:
Going at fast as his aching leg would let him Itaeo scrambled down the halls, like a blind chicken with the fidgets, cursing under his breath.
He ran into the wall as he was rounding the corner, only a few more yards and he'd be in the main hall where he'd greet the princess when she arrived. His mind was racing with all the plans that he'd have to do last minute- all the things he would have to say when she arrived, at least he had a few minutes....
Breathless and looking like a half crazed dog Itaeo skidded into the great hall of the Palace- all lofty white pillars of stone and murals decorating the walls. His sandals giving him no traction he almost went a fourth of the way across the long narrow, room before stopping and then froze- he heard a small gasp behind him.
-Oh dear god in heaven....
He slowly turned and faced a young woman- a very young woman and a boy both staring wide eyed at him. The young woman was striking to say the lease, and very much not a Rapugyptian woman. Her fairer olive complexion and dress was not of one of his countrywoman. He stood straight as a ram rod, nerves tingling all over.
The young woman was eying him with something akin to fear and consternation written plainly over her pretty face. And when he turned to fully face her is when his eye saw the coat of arms on the pageboys tunic- Jaipine.
Itaeo could actually feel the color drain from his face and his mind was screaming at him to do something, but what? What could he do in the face of this glaring embarrassment, this glaring slip in proper decorum, this terrifying thing that was a girl no older than his sister and almost a full head and a half shorter than himself!
But Itaeo was the Pharo, he couldn't let his emotions betray him, not now at least. He straightened up and bowed his head slightly towards her.
“Lady Morgandy.” The words were more of a statement than a question but the girl nodded anyway- he sighed, he could handle this with the grace of his people, he just needed to remember how to breath.
“My sincerest apologies Highness, your messenger could not find me and I was not informed of your arrival until just a few moments ago.” He smiled at her, she was obviously ill at ease, he tried again. “I am the Pharo, Itaeo.”
