I roam this desert land,
Looking for a sliver of humanity.
I'm lost here,
No way to get home.
Maybe this is home.
My mind was banished here
Along with my imagination.
There's no sign of anything;
No trees, no flowers,
Nothing.
I hear a rustle,
Could that be a leaf?
No, it isn't.
It's paper!
I reach down to pick it up,
And suddenly I am in my room,
Unfolding the note.
As I read this for the fifth time,
I am once again
Banished to the empty, barren land.
It reads:
I am alone now,
No one remembered me.
No one ever knew
My pain that I hid.
I don't try to be this monster that I am.
I am only human.
No one should judge,
For we all are only human.
Connect the pieces of life,
Look at the sorrows.
Through your anxiety and depression,
There are no joys.
There is only the life that wishes for death.
My life longs for the end.
I beckon the reaper towards me,
So he will finally set me free.
Do not cry,
I have begged for this.
Do not cry,
No one noticed enough to be able to mourn.
I am gone,
Forever and always.
I am free,
Never before seen.
