I drew this on paper, scanned it it, and colored it on pixlr.com. I don't have a tablet (yet) so I just used a mouse. I'm actually really happy with how it came out! ^_^
Oh, I wish I was punk-rocker with flowers in my hair.
Well, I have to admit...It wasn't as good as I thought it would be, in fact, it was better!!! I looked at the title of what the drawing would most likely be about and thought about my idea of what a mage would look like, yeah, your version is like, 10 times better than the image I had in my head. It's texture and color are just right for the picture and I love his face, it shows so much emotion that it's really easy to see why he'd be an angel. Well, that's really all I wanted to say but great job and keep it up!!(:

You have to be proud of yourself? You did this using a mouse! That's a fantastic drawing with great colours. However, I have points that I need to mention: 1) Shading: Some areas are well-shaded while others seem not. So, you should consider spending more time in shading the shirt, the face and the hair as well. 2) The hair: I think the choice of the brush you've used to colour the hair is not a very good idea. In other words, the hair seem to be coloured in different directions. Also, the hair lacks shading. (try using light brown shades in the middle) I just wished that the tool you've used to colour the pants are the ones you use to colour the hair, it would better, I think. 3) Pants and hands: Well, you need to redraw/recolour the hands because part of them are obviously erased. Same with the pants.
You did this with just a mouse?! That's crazy, it's just about as good as the things I've seen done with a tablet. These kind of digital mediums aren't something I'm all that familiar with but as an artist myself, I can see only a few technical things.
For one, the jacket where I'm supposing it's kind of not all the way on his shoulder. At first I couldn't really tell if his arm was in or out of the sleeve. I think if it wasn't so straight that it would have been a bit easier to tell.
And the only other thing, which really isn't a huge deal is the feathers of the wings. They look kinda flat, so maybe if you added a little more shading it would give them more depth. Same goes for where the jacket overlaps his shirt and where his hair falls over his brow.
Other than those few, minor, things, this is great, I mean there's no way I'd ever be able to do this. I doubt that I could with a tablet even. So awesome job, I'm impressed
Hi Dai!! I really like this one a lot. I feel like 's a real character behind this drawing. To me, the glasses and tatoo really sell it for me because I honestly don't think I've heard of a character that looked a bit like a nerd but also brandished a BA looking tat lol. So it really makes me wonder what kind of person this is xP
So I love all the choices you made on this, his expression and clothing and colors (love the red glasses) and the black section of wings. Personally, I always thought wings were a bit cliche but to me yours were original because of this.
As far as the coloring goes, you did an awesome job, espicially since you're a beginner at this and were using a mouse. You know what you're doing and the best advice would be more practice x) I did notice though that the hair (espically the highlights) didn't turn out too well. It just feels really stiff and it doesn't have all the right shading. I imagine this was uber tough to do on a mouse xP
Alright, now for the super picky comments. His right eye looks a tad bigger than his left, his shoulder (to me) looks small and almost femenine, I think it should be bigger and broader. I want more shading on the wings to help them stand out, also it looks like they got cut off from the picture. I would've liked to see the full extent of the wings. Oh, and I think it would help them stand out more if you gave a little color to the background, because right now you have white wings on a white background.
Yeah, you should be really proud of this, it looks really cool ^_^ great job.
