"Winged" Cover Contest

This is for Awesomesocks I literally found out about her contest last night while I was browsing through the list, and the title caught my attention. I really wanted to give it a shot, so I read through the first 2 chapters for background info and then started the sketch at about 7:30 last night xD I realized then that I didn't have any time for coloring, so I did a little editing and drew the title in digitally at last minute. In my rush, I managed to write the title as 'Wings' and not 'Winged' so I realize this has no chance now in the contest but I thought I'd post anyways I hope you enjoy, and I plan on finishing this pic regardless!

Very very very good. I think it should win even though it's not complete yet and even though the title was off by a few letters. I'm not sure how to give advice or fix anything on this considering this is the first time I've reviewed something like this. I don't really think it needs anything. I really like it as a rough sketch like this but I would love it if once you finish it you could post the final result. It's a very interesting picture but very well done. Great job and keep it up!

Okay, I should totally be doing my homework now, but I'm not so I might as well review something.

So... It's kind of hard to review something where it was just a quick thing, right? Because I'm sure if you had more time you could have made this a lot more detailed than it is now. But I like it. I think I like the first one more, even though it has a lot of white. I just like the colors, the blue and the green. I like the poses, but I'm a bit confused about what the guy is doing. It looks a little like he's handcuffed or somethin'... wait. Is he supposed to be like that? I read the description of the book but couldn't figure it out. I like the expressions, too. They look very comfortable with each other, like they're just hanging out or something.

I like the black border. I dunno why, it just makes a cool effect.

The wings! I know you can draw better wings! Even just changing the shape and putting a little more detail would make it so much better. They're just really sloppy right now, I guess.

I think the guy would look good if he were wearing a tie. I just get that impression.

So once again, I'm not very helpful! But I guess if you can think of anything else you'd like me to comment on, I'd be happy to.
