Faynt

So this took me a little while to do, but I've done longer x) I worked on the pencil sketch earlier last week, and on Friday I actually had a 5 hour block open to myself, where I was free of homework so I sat down and colored it ^_^ I'm actually pretty happy with the design, but I feel like there are still some flaws, probably with the anatomy. This character turned out to be a kind of warrior-pixie from what I can see, called Faynt.



Oh, and I know the sword isn't finished xP

I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into this. The color and shading are quite good.

However, as you said, there were some flaws with the anatomy.

Face and head: The head almost looks too small for her body; the lower part of the face also looks a bit small, but I think it's because her lips take up most of the chin area. There should be at least a little small for the chin.

Torso: This is pretty good, except for the chest. The right side looks bigger.

Arms: These could use some work. The upper part of the left arm look pretty good, but the whole thing looks a little too straight. The lower portion is too short, and there is no wrist to speak of. Her hand also looks strange, almost nonexistent. There should be a defined curve of knuckle, and the thumb shouldn't be so sharp at the tip. Also, she looks very unbalanced with only one arm showing.

Legs: These look...strange. She has a very slender build, but her thighs are like pillars. The positioning of her left leg is good, but the right one looks too short, and at somewhat of an unnatural angle. It would look more natural if her right hand was perhaps touching the ground to balance her pose.

Clothing: Quite good. The colors and texture are great.

Overall, there are some flaws, but it's still a good picture; I like it. Keep up the good work!

Well, I think the legs do look quite strange, and it would have been better if the boots were black.
But overall, it's a nice picture, better than what i can draw, anyway:D x

Wow this looks amazing can I say. The colours must've taken ages and all. I don't think the legs look strange, maybe a bit short. But it looks like Faynt is running, and I guess thats what she is supposed to be doing.

If she was running though, I think she would probably fall over. A sword is heavy. I have never seen someone running with a sword with both hands behind their back because it gets them out of balance. I think the positioning of her other arm is wrong then. But if Faynt isn't running I guess you did it all good.

Hey! Nice name for the character, Faynt. Love it . Firstly, I would agree with what Payne said about the arms but not the thumb. It could be a pointed nail. No harm done. =P But yes, it would be better if you show both her arms otherwise the girl is just sitting in an awkward position. (That's what it seems like to me) Do add a background to it soon so that her right leg (no it's actually my right) doesn't look too short. The character wouldn't be floating. I wonder what kind of battle she's about to fight.
You've improved in shading! Yey! This times the shades are at the correct places. (Good job there) And of course the hair and the eyes and the lips are so beautifully drawn. Your choice of colors is always so good. NO flaws here. You even gave detail to that tiny band on her arm.
P.S. Love the outfit.
