Lamika

Haven's apology caught her off gaurd. She had thought that she had done well hiding the horror she felt when she saw Haven transform into this thing he called the beast. Yet, he needn't apologize. In a fight even the best of men could turn savage, and she thought no less of Haven for that. When he looked up at her she smiled, and the smile he returned seemed both relieved and happy.
"You want to learn to fight with a sword?"
"Yes, swords are... less dangerous." Lamika knew Haven was talking about the beast. She nodded.
"Firego tried teaching me once, it didn't work very well." She laughed, a musical laugh that made it feel almost as if she wasn't running from the king's men and trying to find a book that would end his reign forever.
Haven also seemed to enjoy her laugh. "Really? What happened? Let me hear your story." Lamika glanced ahead to see the rest of the party trudging on with a quick, determined pace. Firego was watching the sky intently, though for what she had no idea. Finally, she turned back to Haven and began to tell him about the little girl who had almost cut off her own arm when being taught how to fight.
"Now I can hold my own in a fight, but I would still much rather rely on my bow and arrow." She concluded, rubbing the raven's feather on an arrow she had just pulled out of the quiver on her back. "By the way, do you have any idea how long it is to this Blackmire place?

Jenko

"Truthfully I have no idea," said Jenko. "It can't be too far though. Wyverus might be mad, but he wouldn't invite us to come to somplace very far out of our way."

In fact it took them most of the day. Jenko was afraid they were lost a few times, but eventually they met someone willing to point them to the outskirs of time. Sure enough they finally reached the little inn the necromancer spoke of.

"I'm exhausted," complained Firego.

He wasn't the only one. Jenko was used to being on his feet all day, but even he was pretty tired. Maybe the other were faring better though.

"There's no sign of Wyverus out here. Lets go and order a meal. Maybe he'll turn up."

Taur

"Would you teach me to weild a sword? I fear for the safety of the others when the beast roams free."
Taur had mused upon Haven's words for the hours it had taken the group to walk to Blackmire. Of course, he had agreed to the werelion's request; swords had never been his strong point, but he had experience with the weapons, and they were certainly easier to come by than a well made battleaxe.
As towns went, Blackmire was less than flattering. Run down and boarded up, it certainly needed a little love and affection. Taur hoped the obscurity of the town would work in their favour. Bitter and disenfranchised, the townsfolk were hardly the type to ask questions, so Taur felt there was little threat of them being given away. And who knows, maybe there would be one or two merchants willing to strike a deal for a couple of swords so Haven could begin his training.
In all, Taur was simply happy to know he would have food and shelter for the night.

Lamika
As soon as the group reached Blackmire she began to feel nervous. Something was strangely mysterious about this place. Hopefully they would be able to eat and discuss their plans for the upcoming quest as soon as possible. then maybe she would be able to get some sleep before they headed off again in the morning. A man passed looking dejected and in pain, and Lamika stepped out of his way only to bump into Haven. He shot her a reassuring smile, and she couldn't help but move even closer as they stepped into the dark inn filled with the smell of sweat and bear. the stench made her eyes water and she coughed a few times before her body was able to breath despite the lack of air.
"Food isn't all that important, right? Can't we just find someplace to stay?" Her legs ached from the day of walking and she could feel the eyes of the drinkers, though it was clear they would not ask questions or make any sign to the visitors other than half-hidden stares.
"Food is extremely important," Firego mumbled, wrapping an arm around Lamika to keep her standing. "Don't worry, these look like nice people."

Jenko

Jenko shrugged of his pack and dug out their little purse. They didn't have a lot of actual money, and they stll needed to by supplies, but this might be the last chance they got to sleep in a real bed and eat food prepared in an actual kitchen. They'd left so abrubtly he hadn't really gotten to savor his last ight at home.

"I think we can afford enough food for all of us, and still get a room," he paused to glance at this sister, "or maybe two."

Firego seemed to sense his apprehension. "Maybe the we Resai siblings in one, and the rest of you in another? How does that sound?"

Wyverus

Wyverus raised his hand, and sure enough the sixth ale was slammed in front of him on the oak counter. Wyverus took a gulp and sighed.

"Hey, you! Runt!". Wyverus turned his head in the direction of the hostile voice. "What do you think you're doing on Jason's Rouges territory?!". The voice came from a large, bulky man, around six feet five inches.

"Is that the name of your pathetic little gang over on the table in the corner? Well if tis tavern belongs to you I guess so" Wyverus said in a cocky tone, obviously under the influence of alchohol.

"You think your so tough? You're talking to a ex-mercenary here laddy!"

"Excuse me?" Wyverus said, as he disounted from the bar stool. The man swung a punch, obviously angry at the necromancer. Not that he knew that Wyverus was one. Wyverus ducked beneath the hook and delivered a blow to the chin of the man. The man was knocked of his feet. Wyverus grinned as his hands emitted pitch-back shadows. The three men at the table stod up and charged towards him. Don't kill them, just show them that you don't take crap. He wrapped shadows around one of the men's waist and launched him throught the tavern window. Wyverus laughed until he noticed Taur, Jenko, Firego and Lamika standing astonished as the man had just sailed over their heads. Perfect.

Taur

Jenko made as if to enter the tavern, but Taur put a restraining hand on his shoulder.
"In situations such as this, size will matter," he said, before entering the tavern.
The tavern was in chaos. Wyverus was throwing men back and forth about the room like ragdolls. Clearly a combination of stress and alcohol had clouded his judgement- Taur would have to be careful.
As Taur strode further into the tavern, men of various levels of inhebriation began to shout around him. Things were going from bad to worse, and quickly. He needed to get Wyverus out before someone was seriously injured- or worse.
A shout from the direction of the doorway caught his attention. Taur knew already who it was, but turned to look anyway.
Jenko had followed him inside, only to be assaulted by one of the rowdy locals. If only the boy had stayed outside.
Taur felt a rush of air seconds before a punch connected with the small of his back. He turned to see a handful of men standing in a semicircle around him. This would not be good.
"Gentlemen," Taur began, trying to dissolve the conflict before it began "Could you recomend a good ale?"
"Yer, devil," the leader of the group, clearly drunk, picked a bottle up from the bar and let its contents pour away onto the floor, "Try this one," he smashed the bottle against the bartop, turning it into a ring of razor-sharp glass.
"Very well," Taur replied, stepping back into a defensive stance. Getting Wyverus would have to wait; first of all he needed to defend himself.

Jenko

He quickly regreted following taur into the bar. He wasn't a small man, and he'd been in his share of fistfights, but this was obviously a much tougher crowd. Still, it wasn't in his nature to stand back when a friend was in danger, even if Wyverus didn't seem to be having to difficult a time.

"Do you even need my help?" he asked.

Someone tried to hit him with a stool, but he managed to grab the assailants weopon and throw it aside. Then he grabbed the man and practically threw him to the ground. Just because he couldn't weid a sword did n't mean he was completly useless.

Haven

He stood outside the tavern mouth agape. He had seen some of the prides older members under the influence of Grimfalds Concoction and even one fight but this was madness. Wyverus tossing men around like toys, men trying to punch Taur (quite clearly a fruitless endeavour) and Jenko fighting a mad man armed with a chair.
"Do you think i should do something?" Haven asked looking to Lamika for guidance.
"Perhaps you should," she replied calmly.
"Alright then," nodded Haven marching into the tavern. "Right you lot, thats quite enough of that!" He yelled a the top of his lungs. He paused waiting for the chaos to die down but nothing changed.
"I said," He yelled before a man threw a bottle at him, narrowly missing. "Oh forget it," he sighed.
He took a deep breath in, punched a man trying to sneak up and stab Taur, pulled himself upto his full height and let a bellowing roar that was defintely all beast. This seemed to have an effect on the drunken mob. All men fear that sound. It's built in for generations.
I have looked into the eye of the storm and stared it down. I am an adrenaline junky and i know no fear.

Lamika
"Perhaps you should," she said, almost amused at the scence around her. Boys. Firego also made as if to step in, but she stopped him and gave him a piercing look. He tried to push forward anyway, but just then Haven's roar filled the air. Everyone froze, even the passerbys in the street. Lamika gaped as Haven shrugged and looked at her through the open window.
His look said, "Well, I made them shut up, that ought to count for something. Now they can figure out what to do on their own." Lamika smiled and stepped half way into the tavern. A still drunk man stepped forward with a tootheless grin and she quickly stepped out again and hid behind Firego as the drunk man frowned in disapointment.
Suddenly a hand touched her shoulder and she stared into the face of a man who seemed to be some kind of soldier.
"What's going on here?"
"I, I don't know." She answered, hoping Firego would back her up.
"We're just here for one night, but we ran into a friend here." Firego shrugged and motioned in the tavern. "We didn't do anything though."

Jenko

At first he was anxious to see a gaurd approaching, but then he saw Firego talking to him and he relaxed. The boy was absolutly legendary at talking his way out of trouble. Firego used to drive him craxy doing that when they were children, but now he was grateful. Now they only had to get out before anyone got to hurt.

He had barely formed the thought when something smacked his head. He whirled to see who had struck him, which proved to be a mistake. Fortunetly he managed to take a couple of his assailants down has he crashed to the floor.

Wyverus

This was getting out of hand now, Wyverus had to stop it. During the chaos Wyverus grabbed some silvers from the till. "Ok ok people! Sorry for the uproar. Free drinks on me!". The carnage quietened and then was destroyed by the eruption of cheering. That was a close one. He ordered a dozen beers and turned to the group, who seemed everything but impressed. After noticing the window he turned back to the barmaid, who's confused face as a result of the missing silvers made him chuckle. "I'll pay for that" he said pointng to the broken glass. He then pivoted back to his allies. "Happy Hallowe'en!" he said, grinning. Firego let out a little chuckle but Jenko glared at him to stop.

"Out." Jenko ordered. Wyverus swung the tavern door open and exited with Jenko following close by.

Jenko

Jenko continued to glare at the necromancer as they walked quickly away from the scene. It wasn't realy safe to be in the area anymoe. Even if this town was supposed to be unsupportive of the crown, starting a fight in a bar was a tactic bound to get them noticed, and possibly arrested.

"I hope you're in a better mood at leaast," he grumbled to Wyverus.

He wanted to say more, but he was trying to keep his vow to stay positive. Yet with a splitting headache and assorted other injuries, on top of being cheated out of his creature comforts, he was hoping staying in a good mood would be easier in the future.

Wyverus

"Well, you'll be be glad to know that I've struck a deal with the owner of the inn next door. Three rooms for no cost, but just the night. After all there's only so far a fat business man will go if you threaten him with his life"

"Three rooms? So the sleeping arrangements?"

"I don't sleep, necromancers don't need to"

"Fine, I'll go consult the team abou where their all sleeping" Jenko finished.

"Oh yes, one thing" Wyverus said as Jenko walked away. "The owner doesn't want any funny business" Wyverus lied. "So I would guess you and Firgo would have to be with Lamika". Jenko nodded and walked into the tavern. Wyverus walked into the inn, lost in thought. I wonder where Satina was going. This all seems slightly suspicious to me...

Lamika
As soon as the party reached the inn she opened the first door with a little silver key and sat down. "This is ours!" she mumbled, and Firego entered unquestioningly. Jenko followed after turning to the others.
"Haven, Taur, Godric, I don't care how you decide which rooms to stay in. We might send Firego in with one of you if we feel too crowded in here with the three of us. For now we should talk while we have a moment of peace and quiet. Wyverus? Where's Wyverus? Whether he likes it or not he's part of this team."
Lamika leaned against the headboard, propping herself up to listen to Jenko. The rest of the party began to enter the room and set themselves up on the two beds and the rickety chairs that looked like they would crash any second. Taur took one look at them and decided to stay standing. Everyone turned to find Wyvrus, but for a second it seemed like he had disappeared again.
