I guess I should say hello

Well.. I've signed up about a week ago (I think). So here I am.. I'm Kashya, and have been using that name for along time in forums and to sign artwork and what not with. I'm here..well cause Baron brought me...so if you need someone to blame....that'll be him.
I'm a bit older I guess you could say, seeing that I am already 36. I write and do art, when my muse allows me either, I do have a DA account, but under the name of Nyanaeve cause my usual Kashya was already taken, so if you reconize some writings from there, that's still me, just under a different name.

Sadly I have not been able to write much lately, nor do much GFX, someone stole my muse and if you see it, tell er I want her back!!.

Anyways, that's it I think, if you want to know anything...ask...I might even answer

Hey Kashya. Nice to meet you! Um....I don't know how to greet someone who's older and more mature than myself. xD It would be kind of condescending. But! I guess I could give you some links to helpful things around the site. =)

1)Questions and Answers-- I love this place. It's the catch-all for any problems or general questions you may have, and I wish it had been around when I was a newbie. I would check "Answers to Questions Everyone Has" by Kamas before you post a new thread, 'cause she may have already answered it.

Hmm...what else? I'm guessing you can find the forums for poetry and fiction and all that jazz?

Oh! We also have an About the Authors forum, so if you want to go more in-depth into your intro, you can do it there!

Both of those things can be found under The Community Forums, and there's lots of cool stuff and cool people who lurk around there.

Other than that, I don't know what to show you, because, well...you're not 12, and I don't really have to hold your hand through the whole process of this. xD So good luck! ^_^

Lol,yeah I passed the age of twelve a few decades ago.. haha. Thanks for the welcome. Yes I do mean Nyanaeve from Wheel of time,guess that is something I could add, I am for lack of a better word, a book addict, I tend to read about a book a day. When Kashya was taken as nick, I resorted to book characters that would fit me and well... Nyanaeve has the temper, attitude that match me best... hehe

Eeeek! She's my favorite in that whole series! I'm a book addict too, except I've been busy lately, so I can't even remember the last book I read...which is kind of unprecedented. Lol. But yeah, those books are amazing! I can't wait for the last one to come out. I'll be sad, but I love that series too much to want to wait any longer than I already have.

Hey Kaysha! I'm just going to greet you the way I'd greet any other member.

Welcome to YWS! The layout can be confusing at first, but you'll get used to it eventually. The "My Feed" and "My Profile" buttons basically take you to the same place--it's kind of like facebook. The "Notifications" button should be obvious, if you've ever been on a site where you're notified of people's comments, but you can only view them from about 5 days back. (There's a scroll-down button, where you can select the number of days you want to view.)

Then there's the black ribbon underneath our exciting logo! (I mention this because it confused me at first.) This is, basically, where the "meat" of the site is. The blogs aren't as well-visited as the rest of the site, but they can be really fun! And I like the clubs here. They usually don't get all that much traffic either, but it's still nice to be in a group with people who like the same things you do.

As for the community, I highly suggest visiting the Chatroom! You can find it as the first item on the "Community" list, or on the front page underneath the featured works. Speaking of which--if a work get six likes, it'll probably be featured! (At least, six likes got something featured, the last time I checked.) So if you find something you think is worth the attention, make sure to like it! It will be much appreciated by the author.

Have you figured out the point system yet? We can get up to 100 points for a review, 200 on review day! Review days happen once a month, and we band together on different teams to compete for the prize! That's when your review get points for your team, and not just you.

Why are points important? Well, you have to spend points to post works, and there are little gifts you can give other members that cost points.

One thing: when changing your picture, make sure to change your avatar. I made that mistake: there's also a "change picture" button. I was so frustrated until I realized what I'd been doing wrong!

I'm very sorry if I've repeated anything unnecessarily--I'm not the most experienced greeter on this site.

Let me know if you have any questions, or if you need anything! If I can't answer, the best people to ask are the mods, the junior mods, the senior members, or the yws royalty. The mods are in dark green, the jm's are in light green, the distinguished members have gold names, and the royalty have red names. There's only two of the royalty, now, because the creator left--hang around the site long enough, and you'll probably find out about that. (Spoiler alert: Big Brother is actually an account all the mods share. Isn't it cool?)

In case I forgot to say it--welcome to YWS! I'm sure you'll have fun here. It's a pretty diverse site--you can spend hours in one section!--so I'm sure you can find your niche. The best way to do that is to review some genre you like, or post something, and then find out what your reviewers are into here. Chances are, you'll have something in common with your reviewers, because they're usually reviewing because they like the kind of thing you've written.

Oh yeah! One of the rule of the site is to play nice. No vulgarity, no threats. (Unless, of course, you're in chat and you want to blow someone up. Then it's cool, because we all know you're joking. ;3)

Thanks Kae, I do mostly manipulations when it comes to art, and most of those have a slightly gothic to it, but I also do stock photography, mostly scenic and animals or buildings and stuff, none human. My writing, that is pretty rare, it seems I can only write when deeply depressed and what I write then (I guess you could call them poems) tends to reflect that.
I might post something older within the next few days just to give an idea.
