Death Weapon Meister Academy *Started*

Welcome to Death Weapon Meister Academy. More commonly known as the DWMA. It stands as a defense against the forces of evil, which would plunge the world into chaos and drag humanity into the very depths of fear and madness. The demons known as Kishin, and their eternal hunger for destruction. To ensure that the Kishin never regain their hold on this world, this Academy was founded by the Grim Reaper, Death himself. So basically they're an organization that serves to protect and preserve peace.

I guess it's not exactly a typical school. Oh well, that isn't important! For now, lets roll up our sleeves and get to work!

The DWMA was founded years ago by Lord Death himself, to both guide young Meisters and their weapons and to keep a Kishin from ever being reborn to the earth. He’s the Head Master at the school, and can often be found in the death room.

You have a duty, as either a Weapon or Meister. You mustn’t let a Kishin be born into the world, and you must create a strong Weapon to do so. It seems like a lot, seeing as you’re only teens, but the safety of innocents is on your shoulders.

However, there have been a lot of murders in the school as of recent. Those who are attacked by the one known as ‘The Shadow’ weren’t lucky enough to get a close enough look at his face. All they know, is he is a teenage boy. Not even Lord Death knows who he is, which is even more alarming.

The Shadow is a student at the very school he’s attacking. He’s bitter and no one knows why, another thing they don’t know is that the boy is a Weapon and a Meister in one. It’s unknown if he’s been eating the souls of those he’s killed, but if he has be could very well become a Kishin. A very dangerous Kishin that Death himself couldn’t stop.

Everything you’ll ever need to know about Soul Eater.

Souls:

Kishin Eggs: Souls of humans who have turned to the path of evil, if not dealt with quickly they will hatch to be Kishins. They can be extremely dangerous, and must have their souls taken as soon as possible. Sometimes their form changes to horrifying creatures, like Jack the Ripper.

Meisters and Death Weapons: Technically speaking, they are human, but they are capable of matching soul wave lengths. This is what makes a Meister and a Weapon great partners. There are different levels for these pairings, see below for detail.

Witches: They have extremely magical souls, and are almost always extremely hard to kill. It’s necessary to collect one, though, for a weapon to become a Weapon worthy of Lord Death. If you mess up collecting this soul, you’re forced to start over.

Weapon and Meister:

Weapons: These guys can transform into a weapon, which a Meister can then use to fight his or her enemies (I.e. Kishins, Witches, never humans). When a Kishin or Witch is defeated, their soul is consumed. Literally, eaten by the Weapon. All Death Weapons must be willing to give their life to defend their meister.

Meisters: They can use the weapon to their liking, and can see others Souls. Some Meisters can use their inner power without a weapon, but it’s never very strong. Most Meisters are trained in some form of fighting to back up their weapon skills.

Soul Resonance: This is when the souls of Weapon and Meister combine to use their power as extra powerful magic attacks. It takes a lot of concentration, practice, and soul wavelength connection to make it work.

Rankings:

First Stars: If you’re a first star, you’re on the trail of collecting the souls necessary to make a powerful weapon. You’re generally the rookies, the newbs, the bottom of the pile. The more souls you have towards your goal, the more respect you have.

Second Stars: Most of these guys have either collected all their souls or are extremely talented. They’re normally sent on missions that First stars can’t handle, and/or don’t include collecting souls.

Third Stars: Top of the food chain! They’ve created a powerful weapon and are only sent out on extremely dangerous missions that Lord Death deems too hard for a student. Yes, these people are graduated. Normally teachers, too.

Name: Cheshire (Ches/Chez/Cat/Cheshire Cat) Jones.
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Type: Meister.

Partner: Shea - CelticaNoir’s character.

Appearance: Ches dyes her hair purple, (but it’s naturally light brown) and she has seemingly red eyes. That’s all a trick of the mind, though. Her eyes are an extremely odd shade of red/brown that looks red under daylight. There are always the faintest bags under her eyes, a sign that she has trouble sleeping.

Ches likes to wear tom-boy-meets-girly clothing. Light colored wind breakers and knee socks are a must in her wardrobe. She doesn’t have a problem showing off her legs, but her chest is another thing all together. If you point out her chest, she will be flustered and embarrassed.

She stands with her hands always clasped in some way, she needs to do something with them or she feels completely awkward and unsure. She doesn’t like making eye contact, either. ”The eyes are the windows to the soul, and I don’t want people in there.”~~Something she once told her mother about eyes. She dislikes it when she crosses Meisters who can see souls, it makes her feel exposed.

Personality: Ches is playfully flirtatious, even though she doesn’t mean it. She bares a kind of innocence to her, even if she does look sort of creepy. She’s always energetic, whether she’s bouncing on her feet or tapping her foot in class she can’t sit still. When it comes down to a fight she becomes frighteningly cold and calculating.

Cheshire has a habit of being flirty without realizing it, and it can come around to bite her in the buttocks often. People call her a tease, and she doesn’t understand why. In her opinion she was just being nice. At that comes her innocence, she doesn’t realize when she does things that would be considered demented, flirtatious, awkward or rude.

That can get her in trouble sometimes, people tend to get upset when you say rude things to them. She always wears an innocent smile, even her eyes seem to smile. She’s peppy and bouncy, in an almost annoying way that you have to love.

She absolutely hates to be left alone, it makes her anxious and jumpy. If she’s left alone too long she’ll never let you leave her side again.

When she’s thrown into a fight she develops a cold and calculating gaze, and focuses only on her target. She doesn’t notice her surroundings, which could explain why she messes up so often. Nothing can stop her from cracking witty comments to her Weapon, though. Nothing at all.

History: Ches’s mom was a witch , and her dad was a Meister. Her mother was a very strong witch, but in the end she was forced to retire for her daughter’s safety and her husband's happiness. That didn’t stop her father from going with his partner and continuing his duties as a third star Meister.

Ches’ mom wasn’t very happy about that, but she supported him anyway. Then, he was killed by a witch. Ches’ mom became constantly tired, and began disappearing at night and only coming home at the early hours of the morning. Later, Ches learned that she had become an alcoholic. She was left alone all day, left to play by herself and entertain herself.

When she started going to school her teachers thought she was a perfect little angel, until her violent mood swings started. She beat on one of the other students until his face was mush, or at least his nose was broken. It was hard to tell through all the blood. People spread rumors about her, and once again she was isolated. Finally, someone built up the courage to befriend her, a nerdy girl.

Ches hung off her every word and became the person she is today because of her advice. When Ches’ mom sent her to the DWMA she lost touch with her child hood friend, and began hanging off her Weapon for the attention she craves to survive.

Love: Da, if you can handle her obsessiveness.

Other: Ches is very very very very fond of cats. Latona is a distant cousin of hers, but they don’t seem to realize it. She also sleep walks, and snores, and drools, and talks, and flails (which explains why she always looks tired). Yes, because her mom is a witch does mean she's half witch, but she's always using soul protect. If she was ever to turn it off she could make small and harmless smoke bombs, they can float around before exploding or they can be thrown. They're purple and have a cat's face imprinted on them.

Name: Eruka Thomas

Age: 17 (Nearly 18)

Gender: Female

Type: Death Weapon. She’s a small machine gun that can be hand held, she shoots compressed blasts of her and her Meister’s soul energy. The harder they fight and the tighter the wavelength the more deadly the blast.

Appearance: Eruka is taller than most, standing at roughly 5’7”. Her height doesn’t make her very intimidating though, considering she’s thin. She has large blue eyes and has trimmed her hair to have a straight fringe that stops just above them. Her hair is always in a messy pony-tail and she likes to wear modest clothing.

Personality: To sum her up, she’s nervous and submissive. She doesn’t like yelling or bullying of any kind, but it’s not often she’ll speak up against something. Even if she thinks it’s wrong.

Eruka holds a lot of repressed emotions and madness, but you don’t have to worry about her going crazy any time soon. She’s mastered keeping herself calm and away from madness. She’s always willing for a compromise and obeys her meister’s every word, even if she doesn’t quite agree with him. It’s easier for her- and everyone around her -if someone leads her. She doesn't trust her moral compass enough to make her own decisions.

She’s extremely submissive, so matching soul wavelengths isn’t hard for her. She could probably match with anyone, really. She lacks the courage to make her own choices and follow her own self-- she fears falling into the madness. She fears making a bad choice and hurting someone.

History: Both of her parents were born weapons. Her mother was a shot gun and her father was a pistol. Unfortunately for Eruka and her father, her mother wasn’t mentally stable and held too much madness for her to control. Eventually Eruka’s dad and his partner had to kill her because her soul had turned into a Kishin egg.

Eruka’s dad soon discovered that Eruka had a disturbing want --a need-- to harm things; to destroy and kill. It took countless beatings and lectures before he found a way to combine soul wavelengths with her and calm her madness.

Eruka’s dad sheltered her after that, keeping her away from any negative influence that could harm her or send her back into madness. When she discovered the DWMA she wanted to help. She wanted to make sure no Kishins were ever born into the world, so no one could suffer the madness that her mother suffered and she could have suffered if it wasn’t for her father. He lives in death city and she visits him often; upon his request.

It was on her first day of school that she was more nervous and unsure than ever before in her whole life. There was no one beside her to tell her it was okay to talk to the other students, so she stood away from every one else and waited to see what would happen. That was when Seymour approached her, and they partnered up.

Ever since then she's been more than willing to be his weapon.

Love: Yes, and she’d be open to anything-- she doesn’t know it yet.

Other: She's a terrific singer, you should stand outside the bathroom door while she's showering sometime. Her favorite color isn't pink, even if she wears a lot of it-- it's green.

Name: Latona Anais

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Type: Meister

Rank: Student, Second Star

Partner: Silas, Dream’s character.

Appearance: Latona is considered rather pretty, and dresses in dark, formal wear to accentuate her fondness of elegant things--in fact, her bedroom is entirely wallpapered in objects that scream “elegance”. She’s excessively fond of dark colours, and the only bright colours you’ll ever see her wearing would be white and violet, and as she says, it’s only because it makes a nice contrast with the colours she usually wears.

Her hair is long and dark, usually let loose with merely an Alice band holding it in place. She doesn’t believe in caring for her looks more than is necessary to look presentable, but comes off as smooth and refined anyhow, much to the envy of other people. Her purple eyes don’t however, come off as calm and quiet as would be expected of one of the Academy’s most respected students--rather, they hold in them a degree of fire that often clashes with her personality. She is fairly tall, but not too much.

Personality: A note before we start: Latona does not like being gossiped about, or even just talked about behind her back. The same goes for people who talk about others in front of her--she will take it as an offense to herself if you tell her something about someone else. So understand that this profile is being done with her permission, and that it will be verified very thoroughly by her when it’s done.

Two traits of Latona’s always makes her stand out to others--her intensity of feeling and her intelligence. They always understand that whatever she feels, whether anger, or fear, or sorrow, or hate, or joy--she intends to enmesh herself in her emotions.

She doesn’t understand friendship very well--while she may be the sort of person who stands out socially and is wanted as a friend, she doesn’t completely grasp the concept of attachments, often hurting others but never quite understanding why. However, she does want to be close to others--if you asked her what she wanted the most, she would say, “never to be lonely again, never to hurt anybody else’s feeling, to always protect those who are near to me”.

That last phrase also describes a good part of her character--she is very protective of those around her, whether friend or stranger. She can’t stand by and just watch anybody get hurt, even if she’s afflicted or injured herself. This stems from what she thinks is her past inability to protect her family--a fact unknown to those around her, since she covers it up so well with her manners.

Latona is exceedingly polite--you’ll never hear a bad word coming out of her mouth, unless you deserve it, and even that is limited to stiff and cold words, but not a bad word. She is, however, capable of getting exceedingly angry, and if you don’t understand her words she might use physical force to prove her point. With her whip. (Poor, poor Silas...)

What people don’t know about Latona is that she’s actually a bit of a pervert. Okay, maybe more. Other than studying and cracking whips around people’s heads, her favorite hobby is actually peeking in at boys while they’re busy bathing--and has only been caught once, so far, by one of the boys she was looking in on. He kept quiet, however, and asked her out for a date instead of reporting her.

History: If you asked Latona what her first memory was, it was being swung around by her adoring father. She had been the only child of her family, the apple of her parents’ eyes. Even though she had always wanted a little sibling, she was a relatively happy child, and this often infectiously spread out to those who knew her.

But this childhood wouldn’t last for long. Latona’s mother was a Weapon, and her father had been a Meister--they made a good team together, and even after Latona had been born, they hadn’t given up on their work, but rather going at the missions with a vengeance. Latona was often left with a nanny at home when she was younger, and then when she was old enough to take care of herself, alone.

One day, when her parents had gone out on yet another mission, the 12-year-old Latona followed them, wondering what they did that she had to be left alone all the time. She was fairly good at sneaking around--her parents had never noticed that she had been behind them all the time. So Latona trailed after them, wearing a dark cloak-and-hood set so she wouldn’t be seen in the night.

But then she had seen what their mission entailed--they had arrived at an enormous place, and had almost immediately engaged with what looked to be a witch. A very powerful witch, as a matter of fact, who made them sweat for every swipe they made at her.

Latona may have been able to keep herself hidden from her parents, but as for the witch, she definitely had a lot more work to do, as she was sniffed out in the middle of the fight, to her parents’ shock and the witch’s delight. She had been attacked once or twice--blood flowed from her injuries, but her parents moved in to protect her. They told her to run away, but the defensive position cost them their lives--they died, leaving Latona to the care of the world.

Latona was traumatized--her parents had died right in front of her, but she had been unable to do anything. For a while, she simply locked herself up in the house--there had been no one to take care of her, as her parents had either no or very few relatives left on either side. She went through the motions of living--wake up, take a shower, cook food, eat it, and go back to sleep. Everyday she would do the very same thing.

But soon there was no food left in the house, and Latona contemplated starving to death. But it was then that an uncle of hers came knocking at the door, telling her that if she kept wallowing, he’d burn down the door and drag Latona out. This was her uncle Merrick, who had been away travelling (in fact, that was the only profession he had) and came back on hearing that his favourite brother and sister-in-law had died.

On seeing what condition Latona had made of herself, he decided to take care of her. When she said she didn’t deserve to live anymore, he thumped her on the head and told her that it was no use dying when her parents had given their lives so she could live. She realized that his words actually made sense, and slowly began to recover, a process that is still going on till today.

At the same time, however, she had decided that she would go to the DWMA and become a Meister, so she would be able to protect those around her better next time. And that is where our story starts.

Name: Shea Caiths

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Type: Death Weapon, a double-scythe. It’s called a double-scythe because it has blades on both ends of the staff. The staff itself is the colour of deepest black, with dark violet stripes that that give it the impression of a tiger’s coat. The blades are of the brightest sort of silver, and sometimes temporarily blinds the opponent when he transforms. Both blades are very sharp and pointy at the end, something that he tends to be all puffed up about.

Appearance: Shea is considered one of the more elegant students of the school, and probably for a reason--his obsession with symmetry, one of his most prominent traits, forces him to dress in outfits that are “perfectly symmetrical”, also known as “esthetically pleasing” to others. Almost everything about him is symmetrical, down to the last black hair strand.

The problem is, however, that his eyes aren’t as symmetrical as he would wish--he has serious heterochromia, which means he has two differently coloured eyes--one blue and one purple eye. This often scares a few people when they first see him, as well as is a constant source of problem to him.

Personality: As a boy born in a noble family, Shea has all the common traits of being in one--he can be very stuck up and condescending at the same time, which often makes friendship with him difficult--and he doesn’t regret not having many friends. According to him, ‘most people want to be friends with me for my money, anyway’. He doesn’t trust people easily, unless they have proven themselves otherwise.

If you want to interact with him in anyway, make sure you’re looking perfectly symmetrical, or you’ll be in big trouble. Shea has a touch of OCD when it comes to anything that is asymmetrical, and if you aren’t, he will do one of two things--either he will try to fix you, or tell you to come back looking symmetrical.

Oddly, however, he often forgives those who are close to him, even though he’ll still beg to fix them. He has an (until now) untapped reserve of patience reserved solely for the people he likes. However, he has a limit, and won’t stand it if anyone, anyone, messes with him on purpose, whether relative or friend or stranger.

To people as a whole he can come off as either bitter and cold or burning with rage. Shea usually suppresses anger almost immediately when it comes, but as happens with being like that, it can escaped when pushed a little too much. He suffers from an inferiority complex, because of his eyes as well as the pressure of his family to be always perfect--and he also sometimes comes off as unaccepting of compliments because of this.

A note: he tends to burst into tears when something goes wrong and blames it on himself.

History: The youngest son of a fairly unknown noble family, at first Shea had just been another heir, someone the family could turn to if all his brothers had died. Of course, no one had expected this, so he had been left alone to enjoy a fairly normal childhood. No one had ever imagined that an illness would strike the manor, killing the butler, the coachman and many other servants, as well as the Baroness and all three of his siblings.

Of course, as the only heir who had noble blood (the Baron had been a commoner before he married Shea’s mother) he had a lot to live up to--the entire pressure of carrying on their family name lay on him, especially since every other relative was either dead or somehow ineligible to carry it on.

It took several years for him to be considered of any worth in the family. He could do almost anything they required of him with ease--do the accounts, serve the hundreds of guests whenever the family threw a party, play the piano, draw the portrait of some brat who had just turned ten; the list runs on and on and on.

It didn’t take very long for him to develop his disorder--not very long at all. Soon he had started yelling at the family to keep things ‘symmetrical’ or ship out. In fact, a lot of family members soon found themselves on the streets just because they wouldn’t follow the “Three Laws of Symmetry” that he posted on all their bedroom doors.

Nobody liked this, of course--even the Baron had been threatened several times, and he was a large man who towered over his fourteen year old son. Finally, it had gotten to the point that the family agreed that either Shea had to get over this obsession of his, or he had to ship out.

He chose to ship out.

By now he knew he was a Weapon. Packing up his belongings and taking a sum of money that would enable him to survive for quite a while, he set off for the DWMA, resolving to overcome his “obvious problems” and become the greatest weapon he could be.

Love: Yeah, straight.

Other: Shea's name is pronounced "she" originally, and he hates that pronounciation. If you don't want to tick him off, call him "she-ah" instead.

Name: Donovan “Dono” Favre.

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Type: Meister

Rank: First Star

Partner: Rima, Gleek’s character.

Appearance: One of the more popular boys in the academy when it comes to looks, Dono is quite handsome, which makes most of the girls run after him. He dyed his hair blue at an early age, as apparently he wanted “something of the sky” in himself, and he couldn’t figure out any other way to make it happen. His real hair color is however, black.

There is a strange marking over his right eye, which he doesn’t like being pointed out--in fact, he’ll probably go crazy if you mention it, since it carries not a little amount of trauma for him. As for clothing, he wears whatever he gets his hand on first in the day. Apart from a few pieces of formal-wear and school-wear, however, most of his stuff is worn out.

Personality: Normally, Dono is a very hardworking person. A boy with a lot of willpower, he had had his first ambition at the age of eight--“I will be free, no matter what, like the sky.” In fact, that has been his main motto ever since, and much of his actions derive from it--and sometimes, not.

He is very talented at doing things, but is normally humble and quiet about it--in fact, the only thing he values at work is the official recognition of his efforts, but he doesn’t like compliments. “What use are compliments when they don’t do me any good?” Is another phrase you’ll hear from him often.

He has never dated a girl up to now--mostly because he suffers from an inferiority complex. He believes that he doesn’t deserve to pile on his problems onto another person, and this leaves the girls at DWMA disappointed and confused for the most part. If someone asked him if he ever had a crush, however, he'll probably respond with "I used to care for someone very much." He comes of as a mixture of awkward and cold to most people--he doesn't know how to interact with others, and this leaves others with mixed feelings about him.

History: Most of his past is vague to others, and I'll leave his childhood with only one comment--he didn't have a happy childhood, and a lot of his problems stem from what he had experienced as a young boy--including the mark on his right eye. For him, however, the really important part of his history is what happened after he came to the DWMA.

He had been a fourteen year old back then, with plenty of ambition and a lot of shyness. A boy who had a lot of (and I mean a lot of) fan-girls, he didn't find anyone he felt he could really click with--until he met Reina Candor, his only friend--and best friend up till now.

Reina was a Weapon, a revolver with a wicked amount of power and a personality to match. She was vibrant, loveable--nothing could keep her down for long, and she rose rapidly in the professors' esteem as someone who was brilliant at whatever she tried. In fact, she meant something to Dono as well--it was their promise that he would make her into a Death Scythe.

However, one mistake after another happened--or maybe Reina just had bad luck. The first time they had reached their 100th soul, the 'witch' turned out to be a bird with magic powers. They were, of course, rolled back--while Dono was disappointed, he was still determined to try as much as possible to make Reina into a death scythe.

But that was before they met their match in a real witch, a witch so powerful that the small revolver couldn't do anything against her, not even with a high amount of resonance. They were both getting battered, with Dono unable to help himself or Reina--and then the witch let loose a powerful attack that he wouldn't have survived...

Had it not been that Reina transformed back into a human, and shielded him from the attack. She died within a matter of minutes, and had not one of the DWMA teachers come in and interfered, Dono would've been roasted as well. That had been just about a year back, and still now people whisper behind his back about how his partner died.

Rima is his second partner, and while they aren't close, he seems to care about her.

Valentina's other features are small and petite compared to those wide, sparkling eyes of hers. Those fabulous eyes that could hold you prisoner of their gaze for hours on end. Hidden in those eyes are her true feelings, expressed in a bright explosion of purples, with the shades of dark and the shades of light.

Matching her purple irises perfectly, is the ever-so silky and soft hair she has. Once you feel it brush your skin, you just want to stroke it to feel the strange sensation of each individual strand trailing across your hand.

Personality: At first glance, everyone thinks Valentina is an outgoing and confident girl. If you'd really spent your time with her, you'd realize she is completely the opposite.

Yes, you heard me correctly. In all truth, she is very shy and doesn't share her feelings often, if not at all. She is quiet at most times, and often her standard pose is a pout. There isn't much else to say really, she keeps herself to herself, not trying to be a burden or involve herself in other peoples lives.

If you spent even more time with her, you'd realize she isn't like that at all.

Inside, is this confident, flirtatious girl who just wants to have fun. She has so much raw emotion, but decides to hide it under a veil of safety and protection, because...she is confused. She is confused about who she wants to be. A shy girl who keeps her feelings to herself, or a outgoing hyper-girl! To make matters worse, she is also confused about her sexuality, she is attracted to women and men. With there smooth skin and gentle personalities, who wouldn't want to be with a woman? Is her main reasoning.

So, all of this leads to one big jumble of personalities, emotions and attractions. So, what's a girl to do? Exactly what she's done most of her life; hide behind a veil. Keeping everything to herself and only herself. One day she'll crack, she knows she will and when that time comes, maybe they'll be a release from this pressure of loneliness and isolation that she feels when she's near anyone.

History: A woodcutter came home from his work in the forest to see a 6 year old girl, simply sitting on his porch. He asked with hesitation why the girl was here, she simply replied that she ran away and would go into no further detail of why.

The woodcutter, John. Was an old man, he had lived in the forest a long time, immersing himself in his woodcutting work to realize that he hadn't done anything worthwhile in his life. Seeing this girl here, all alone, with no-one to take care of her. He felt he had the need to take responsibility, this girl was his chance to do something with his life. Raise a child, care for her and be a father she seemed to have lost.

So, he did. He asked and the little girl, acting more mature for her age than an average whining 6 year old agreed with him that she needed taking care of and he was the man for the job. Over the next several years, he taught her the morals of life and she has never let go of them. She made a vow to herself that she will live by the rules John, 'her father' taught her. John also took his time to teach her the tricks of the trade of been a woodcutter, showing her how to handle the axe and using it to it's full potential with the least effort.

With this she found she could use the axe as not only a tool to cut trees, but as a weapon. It was then that an inherited instinct came into being. She slowly developed skills and abilities she had not practiced for or earned, such as hand-to-hand combat and improved agility. With these new found skills, both mental and physical she finally revealed to John, her father, the woodcutter that she was the daughter of a Meister, though her father possessed no powers. That her mother told her enough before she was separated from her to know where she was heading, to the DWMA to enhance her skills and abilities even more and become the warrior her mother would want her to be.

What separated her mother from the rest of her family truly pains her the most. It was her weapon, he grew jealous because he was in love with Valentina's mother and she had married another man. So he took her away, never seen again by her father or Valentina. Soon after, because of the tragic event, Valentina's father left everything, to try and find his wife. Even his own daughter, she was sad, but didn't want to be asked what's wrong and risk having someone take her to the police, or social services.

So this is how she developed this emotionless demeanour and has kept it ever since, only at rare times has she shown her true confident outgoing nature. But people were starting to get suspicious of seeing a 6 year old girl walking around alone, so she fled to the woods where she couldn't be seen. That's when she met that man who would take care of her for the next 8 years. John the Woodcutter.

Love: Yes, and as I said Bi-Curious.

Other: She intends to find her mother and find a way to separate her bond with the weapon, she wants her family back. Her mother was taken against her will, she will still be welcome in the family. But her father abandoned her, she couldn't stand that, he could die for all she cared.

It could be just John, Valentina and her mother.

Type: Death weapon -- Silas is a whip. Sharp and quick, like his personality with an elegant silver handle that has vine markings. The whip in itself is black and it ends with a sharp, silver slit.

Silas has dark chestnut hair, wide, violet eyes, and a fierce demeanor. Silas wears black most of the time when its casual wear, with leather jackets covered in zippers, or dark, unfaded jeans. When he’s out on missions, he usually wears the same jacket (similar to the one in the pictures above).

Of course, Silas is a rather elegant being. That being said, he pulls off traditional wear as well as suits with an impeccable flourish thanks to his upbringing. He also carries a Golden Finch on his shoulder at all times named Pan.


Personality: Stoic, rigid, stark, boring. The kind of guy who simply does without question. Who can do unspeakable things without so much as batting a lash. Silas is the epitome of control. In that sense, he is perfection. The perfect weapon. The perfect tool. He rarely keeps friends because people don’t generally try to break his exterior.

That being said, there is a fragile side of Silas. A little break where his heart shows. It doesn’t happen often and its usually when he’s alone. That being said, Silas, contrary to popular belief, is a bit of a crybaby. He hates what he does. He hates who he is. He hates what he will have to do. Because of this, he puts on a straight face constantly, but he’s not proud of himself. So he keeps his exterior under control at all times.

The one way to break his said exterior, though, is to make him angry. There is rare few things that trigger his anger, but if one gets under his skin enough, it comes out. Other than that, he is generally cynical, pessimistic, and sees the worst in people rather than the best.

A little secret about Silas is that he looks for people who don’t expect him to be anything other than himself. He doesn’t say anything to anyone, but his deepest wish is that someone will simply let him be without being a constant reminder of what he can achieve yet what he doesn’t wish to. The person who can show him that simply being him is enough. He does not like to hold hope as it is not in his nature to do so, but on this subject, he dreams.

History: Silas is from a noble family. Because of this, it was always put on him that he had to succeed in everything he did, and to succeed, he had to be perfect. He was complimented and congratulated constantly on his feats and his ability to maintain ease in high-stress situations. Because of all this praise and all this build up, he feared failure and continues to fear failure till the start of the storybook.

Silas is also an only child. He does not feel he has much to lose so he goes forth with absolute reckless abandon. His strength lies in the fact that he does not fear death, and that he is okay with the idea that he should someday simply not exist. This makes him easily manipulated and used as he does not care to really fight back or to tell people his opinions when he doesn’t agree with what they are doing.

And that’s when Latona comes in. Silas came to DWMA because of his skill and because it was what his parents wanted. As people partnered up and found themselves finding the right places to be, he took his path forward without wanting to be tied to someone or something. He did not want to be used and, in that, he still did not wish to fight.

The problem with this was that he had no one to wield him, until he met Latona. It was by mistake. He had been walking down the halls, his head bowed and his eyes staring at his feet when the girl came whizzing around the corner at top speed. She crashed into his shoulder, stumbled, then caught herself quickly. At first, she had been angry - yelling and cussing alike - due to his ‘having not watched where he was going’ but he did not fight back. After a good chunk of time, she realized this and stopped. That’s when she asked him what his problem was. He merely responded that he had no problems, especially with her.

After that day, they were partners, mostly because he didn’t have anyone else and she needed someone who could be obedient and strong at the same time. He was both of these things. They contrasted heavily, personality-wise, yet they suited each other for their own purposes.

Love: Yes. He is straight.

Other: Like every character I write (a writing quirk of mine), he plays the piano and is very good at it. One of the few times he openly exhibits his emotions is when he plays.

Appearance: Nate has green hair and some white streaks. His natural hair color was blond, but he decided that blond was too common. Nate has dark brown eyes and a broad smile. He is pretty tall, and has forming abs. Nate has a very fun and happy aura, and likes to wear button ups, polos, and jeans.

Personality: Nate is simply too happy, and definitely opposite from his sister. He can make anyone smile, unless they're too serious. Nate has a serious apetite, and will skip anything major if he is hungry. You'll usually see him in the kitchen pigging out, or reading. He's a bookworm too. Nate is very cheerful and hyper, but he's still pretty smart and responsible. He still blows off temper by either eating, snapping at people, or practicing whatever he needs to work on.

History: Nate was born to a female weapon, and a male Meister who also went to DWMA. They had a very good life together, his mom even gave birth to his little sister, Prima. Nate never knew why his parents kept leaving him at home with her. He was the one who pretty much raised Rima, burping her, giving her naps, playing with her. He always thought their parents had urgent meetings and errands to run. But his thoughts definitely changed when him and Rima witnessed his mom and dad fighting together... against a witch.

Of course, the witch was very powerful. It took a very long time before the witch eliminated their parents. Nate and Rima watched as their mom and dad died, from a view behind a tree. This scared Nata and Rima, and Nate remembered what his mom and dad told them to do in the future. Go to Death Weapon Meister Academy. Nate and Rima thought it sounded very scary and awkward for a school, but thye went anyways, and all their questions were answered.

Love: Yep! He likes the happy kind.

Name: Prima "Rima" Rose Pierce

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Type: Weapon, she's a katana. When she shifts into a katana, the blade is pretty thin, long and sharp. The handle is black with golden japanese writing embroidered onto the handle. Translated, it says, "Death can't wait to meet you". On the handle, there's also an orange tassle hanging, pretty much resembling Rima's hair.

Appearance: Rima has orange long hair, in which she always has tied up in high pigtails with dark ribbons. When her hair is down, which is rarely, she has very long, curly hair, which looks brown. She has dark bluish-purplish eyes, with long eyelashes. Rima has a very serious demeanor and a dark aura, unlike her brother. Her natural hair color is blonde, like Nate. She originally wanted green hair, but Nate dyed it before she could, so she settled with orange. Rima is average height for her age, and has a slim figure. Rima is pretty skinny.

Personality: In words, Rima is serious, quiet, and sarcastic. Rima is very quiet, and usually murmurs her words, or only says things she believes are worth saying. She's very serious when it comes to DWMA, and her partner. Rima is usually sarcastic when she talks, which usually tells everyone what her mood is. Rima is rarely seen in a good mood, in which Nate teases her about.

Rima has a whole different side of her. When she's alone... she daydreams. She daydreams about anything that comes to mind, and either writes about it, or plays the violin. Rima is definitely girly when she's alone, writing very deep things, and letting her emotions out with the instrument she loves.

Rima has a problem with other people's manners. Rima is pretty polite and likes etiquette, but when it comes to Nate or other people, she has a serious problem. She'll point out your imperfection, and will always be telling them what needs to be done sternly. She will also have to make them do it. For example, if she sees someone slouching at the dinner table, she will definitely straighten their back and say, "Sit up! You're not ringing a bell in Notredame.

History: It's pretty much like Nate's. Although, Rima gained her dark personality once she saw the witch kill her parents. She thought that there was no good in the world, and there shouldn't be anything to be happy about.

Love: Yes, straight.

Other: She writes literature, and plays the violin. If she sees you being impolite, she'll use a book and smash the spine on your head. "Corporal punishment helps manners." - Prima

He's known to have blue eyes instead green eyes, much to the other students' surprise, and has an athletic build. Believe it or not, he's taller than his Meister.
Personality: He's calm when he's not used, but very dark when it comes to killing Kishin eggs. He likes to be jabbed in the eggs, since he's a dagger by all means. He has a strange sense of humor that often scares other students. He keeps to himself when on missions, but is often said to gamble when the situation's get sour.
History: Anakin's mother was a weapon- a sword- and his father was a Meister of a rapier. His mother was proud of Anakin for becoming a weapon, but died mysteriously along with her husband. Although she willing to let him to pursue his dream of being an artist, after the mysterious death of his parents he enrolled in DWMA and hoped to find the one who took his parents from him. He's more than willing to die for his own Meister, but he hopes to have his parents' killer as the last thing he saw before he draws his last breath.
Love: Yes. Bisexual
Other: he wears a pendant around his neck to remember his mother by.

Personality: Quiet by nature, but very smart in spite of her nature. She's almost unnoticable since she rarely talks to anyone but Anakin, but she's good at solving puzzles or a riddle that Anakin can't make out. She's a little tempermental, but it rarely shows around others.
History: All she knew of herself was that her father was a double-edged sword Death Weapon. Her mother was never in her life somehow. After her father passed away, she enrolled to DWMA to uncover the truth about her mother. Zina has been paired up with Anakin for the past six months now, but the two are already close friends.

Other: She wears a medallion in memory of her father, who always wears blue and nothing else

Yes, he is a guy. His hair is not dyed, unlike what other people think. His mother refuses to let him cut his hair, mostly because she wanted a girl, and his dad goes along with it because he is afraid of what may happen to him if he went against her. He has brown, bored eyes and that's the expression on his face most of the time. He wears a black sleeveless shirt, jeans, a pair of Nikes, and typically a gray hoodie, but sometimes it's red too.

Personality: Akiro wouldn't call himself a mean person, but you would certainly get that impression after he scowled at you. That's how he really greets people. He is not a bubbly person, but he really isn't a serious person either. He is just really quiet, almost to the point where no one notices him. Not that Akiro minds; he would prefer to daydream than talk to anyone of lesser importance. What goes on in his mind is a mystery, unless you hear him sleeptalk in a class. And even then, it's still a wonder.

He is curious about a lot of things, and likes to learn. He will kill for knowledge, almost literally...because he hasn't yet. He has a soft spot for cute things, injured things, bubbly things, and bubblewrap. The last one was discovered recently when he spent hours popping a whole roll. Yep...the good life...

Inside he is just a normal person, a bit of an optimist, a bit of a pervert, and a bit of a know it all. Yep! That's Akiro alright!

History: He was born into a family of five, the middle and often overlooked child. He was born into a Meister family, so when his mother found out that he was a Weapon, she freaked. She really did not like that too much. That's when she began paying more attention to him, and also tried to make him more feminine. She had a family of girls so she thought if she could change him then he would become a Meister. That did not work, obviously. His father loved him as much as any would, but he had four girls to watch over, so he was always put last.

He was sent to DWMA by his father, as a way to get away from his mother, and to do good for the world. But again, mostly to get away from his mother.

Also, never open packages from her. There will (somehow) always be a frilly dress packed into it, no matter what.

Love: Sure. He's bi-sexual. Just don't question his manliness.

Other: He has about seven cats, three dogs, eight rats, and a small bird living in his room, and yet it always stays clean due to his OCD. And he is also my favorite character. MUHAHAHA!!

Name: Yaroslav “Vlad” Vysockiy

Age: 18

Exactly as in the picture, he just doesn’t have any fangs.

Personality: Ambitious and proud, Vlad completely believes in his skills and he does so rightfully. He’s sometimes mistaken for a third class meister due to his extraordinary skill and is annoyed by it, knowing that he can’t be a third class until he graduates - just one more year left.

His usual behavior is cold, he speaks in short sentences and prefers reason above gibberish. Many might think he is cold-blooded, but beneath his serious mask he’s like any other human - emotional, just has his emotions under control.

One of his mostly known traits is his lack of mercy towards anybody who isn’t classified as worthy of acquittance. If he gets a reason why do anybody any harm, he’d do so so skillfully, nobody still knows the suspect behind the incidents. Rumors might be true, but there is no evidence and will be none - if everything goes according to the plan A and back up plan B.

History: Despite his lord-like appearance and behavior, Vlad comes from a middle class family from Russia. Experienced in hard ship and with a good understanding of poverty he’s vowed to become rich.

Vlad has good experience in any manual labor, is self sufficient and never gets lost.

He moved to the Death City at an age of 16, seeking scholarship at Death Academy. He was accepted on first attempt and became second class in just one year, further deepening his pride. People, who were known to disapprove of Vlad's second class, were later found mentally damaged without a clear image of the attacker. Rumours say it could had been Vlad, but there are no proofs. Nonetheless, Vlad's nickname originated during these incidents, resembling his nickname to the legendary Dracula, a blood drinker.

Love: Possible, but he’d need to see its worth to ever let his emotions slip his control.

Other: On top of being a meister, Vlad is a weapon himself.

They prefer to wear movement-free clothes - mainly sport clothes. They sometimes cross-color for fun, but most of the time they look almost identical.

Personality: They are cheerful and adventure lovers, but their cheerfulness appeals to everybody like an embodyment of evil due to their desire to be free. People disregard them as troublemakers and shove them away. Even when they try to smile, people think they're grinning.
At first they tried harder, but as of recent years they no longer care, they do as they wish and fight for what they want. They share little mercy towards their enemies, but are kind at heart and still seek warmth and understanding. Only really few individuals know about their nature, namely Shinnigami-sama (Lord Death) and two professors (Stein and Marie Mjolnir), that are most of the time out of the reach. They both share the greatest respect and admiration for Yaroslav Visockiy as he is the only one who cared to find out more about them and respects them as worthy individuals, being also the only one who knows their genuine smile.
They have strong desire to be free and get rather angry anytime anybody wants to cage them or limit their freedom.

History: They have never seen their parents nor know anything about them. All the memories they have of their childhood is fighting to survive. They were sucessful out of many and adapted high thieving skills, unbelivable speed and overall survival. They became so good as kids they could climb walls to get on rooftops and use anything to their advantage; they're so good they're uncatchable and have no trouble to use each other (chains) in the direst situations.

Loving adventure they've traveled through many countries and only recently came across the Academy. Seeing it as adventure and challenge, they joined the Academy to enjoy more thrills. At first they had trouble ever being somebody's weapons, but ever since they've come to know Yaroslav, they've become second class weapons and strive for the top.

Love: If anybody ever understands them and keeps up, why not.

Other: They aren't ordinary chains.

Andy has golden hair and blue eyes. She is at an average height and is very thin and graceful. She generally wears all black or all white and her hair is normally at the top of her head in a bun with two chopsticks.

Personality: Andy isn't a cheerful person most of the time. She's pretty serious, but humorous if you can get it out of her. When you first meet her she comes out as cruel and sarcastic, and she thinks it's a wonder that someone as unlike her as Nathan could have befriended her. If she spends time with you in close contact, you begin to realize how incredibly optimistic she is. If you try to touch her she often punches the crap out of you.

History: Andy is the newest person at the school. When she was very young she watched her mother become a javelin to her sister. While her father was an early retired weapon as well.

When she confronted her mother about it her mom explained it all. Then her father died and Andy, then fourteen, mom went into a catatonic state were she ate very little and did not speak. When her mother finally emerged, she told her to go to the school. She was assigned to Nathan and the rest is history [pun ]

Love: Yup. Preferably male.

Other: Andy always has a huge swiss army knife in her pocket. She can't stand Itaeo Haroun, and has a feeling he isn't fond of her either.

Name: Oded Torre

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Type: Meister

Rank: Teachers Assistant, and he is a third star rank.

Partner: Itaeo Haroun (my character also)

Appearance: Tall and willowy. He doesn't strike you as physically impressive when you first see him, but he is built, just lean- like a dancer, long lean muscles. He has circles under his eyes (he has insomnia) and his eyes are a really dark indigo/black color. he also has terrible eyesight so he wears glasses most always and once in a great while contacts (but he hates these.)

Oded prefers dark clothing, with that classic look. He also never sits in chairs the way he is supposed to.

Personality: Oded is in a word a gentleman. He was raised by his grandparents who were very old fashioned people, and so behaves like someone born sixty some odd years ago. He has a rigid moral code that he sticks to, which bugs Itaeo to no end and causes all sorts of arguments. He has an easy going temperament most of the time, he strikes people as the quiet, serious type with a melancholy streak. When he does get angry it is the quiet long lasting kind of anger. He is shy, not the one to seek out attention, but can steel himself against this weakness if ordered to do something. He has an anxiety disorder which manifests itself in insomnia, he often can be found at ungodly hours reading or on the computer writing a novel that he refuses to show anyone. Counter to his personality and overall appearance Oded is not a tidy person. If it weren't for Itaeo their apartment would look like a bomb went off in it most of the time. though his seriousness might seem intimidating to some, Oded is a puppy-dog and a very sweet guy. He is also a bit of a nerd/geek, but he would never admit it himself.

History: Oded's parent's were both Meisters-in fact he comes from a long line of top rank Meisters. He was raised by his grandparents, who were retired Meisters themselves (his parents were never married and his mother was not emotanally ready to take care of a baby- she was very young.) He was sent to the DWMA as soon as he was old enough and was paired with Itaeo by Lord Death personally- a move which surprised most because the two boys were NOTHING alike. Actually they two of them had (and still have) one of the most dysfunctional relationships of Meister to Weapon. But to the surprise of everyone, at the end of their training they came out as one of the most powerful and well synced teams. After they graduated Lord Death sent them on high ranked missions ( the two of them have a knack for sniffing out the baddies,) until this past year when he assigned the two of them teaching assistant duties-they were none to pleased but what could they say? Oded thought it was going to be just simple classroom duties (which was bad enough) but when professor Stein came to him and gave him a special assignment he was rather shocked at what it was...

Love: He is straight as a poker and is very much up for love. but watch out ladies! He would be a very old fashioned, and protective lover. His serious demeanor might be intimidating but he is nothing more than a puppy underneath. Because of his shyness Oded has never had much of a love life- he hasn't even had a girlfriend, and Itaeo is constantly trying to hook him up with girls (he hates this.)

Other: Oded is terrified of spiders, and he hates fast food- it gives him an upset stomach. He also is an accomplished violinist but can't sing to save his life (he even messes up the "ABC" song.) He is painfully shy around girls/women, and will stutter and stammer like a schoolboy and blush like crazy. He hates having to talk in front of large groups so the possibility of being a teacher scares the pants off of him!

Appearance: He is tall and muscular with short dirty not quite blond/brown hair. He has striking crystalline ice blue eyes that have a devilish glint in them and eyebrows that never seem to stop moving. He prefers to wear casual clothes- the exact opposite of Oded

Because he has a two weapon form he can wield part of himself when fighting alone. He also can change his forearms to the blades of his weapons, to be in sort of a "half shifted" form.

Personality: He is the exact opposite of Oded. Itaeo is outgoing, loud, sarcastic, obnoxious, and at least form Oded's point of view a pain in the butt. He would be the first to make a double meaning comment or a "that's what she said joke." He has a great sense of humor and will crack jokes at the most inappropriate of times. He thinks Oded behaves like an old woman, so he is constantly trying to drag him (kicking and screaming) out of his shell and get him some girls. Itaeo is laid back and a pretty chill guy most of the time, just make sure you don't get him angry- he gets scary then. He can be brutally honest, and when he is upset he is painfully blunt with people- he doesn't care if he hurts them then. Even though he can be a major ass, he is the kind of friend who would stick by you no matter what- he will always have your back and would die fro his friends without a second thought. He is the Perfect ying to Oded's yang and this is what makes them so formidable a team.

History: Itaeo had a shockingly normal childhood and was sent to the DWMA when he was old enough to attend. both his parents are still living and his father is a weapon, his mother is just a normal human. When he was first paired with Oded Itaeo hated him! he thought he was such a bore and so strict. and he made it his life's goal to make Oded miserable, until they both were challenged by Lord Death to try and become the best team they could be. They being the "black horses" so to speak and they took their differences as a challenge to beat, to come out on top of- which they did. Itaeo has a huge amount of respect for Lord Death and obeys him almost without question. Itaeo has the desire to become a Death scythe and be worthy to be wielded by Lord Death, he is trying his best to work towards that goal.
He was less than pleased when they were taken off missions and places instead, as teachers assistants. He thought it would be boring as the obituaries! But when Professor Stein gave them a special job he was a little pacified.

Love: He is as straight as they come, and would be up for love- if the girl was the kind to give him a run for his money. he needs someone who could both kick his but and keep him on his toes. He is a terrible ladies man and flirt- he will flirt with anyone wearing a skirt and old enough to be a target (but he's not creepy at all, more just annoying.)

Other: He loves listening to his music loud, and can sing quite well but he doesn't realize this yet. He loves crappy food and has an iron stomach. Itaeo is left handed and a dyslexic. He also prefers to go shirtless when he's in his apartment. he has a paralyzing fear of clowns which amuses Oded (and gives the latter some ammunition!) Itaeo surprisingly enough is the tidy one and the battles that erupt over household things can be both epic and hilarious- they make the two of them seem like an old married couple.
