Game On
Level 5 : Learning About Power's
After the feast Axile showed Jay to his room, while Conie showed me to my own. Conie talked me through where everything was - which went in one hear and flooded out the other.
"Are you listening to me?" she said sharply, which made me jump.
"Pardon?" I said blinking.
Conie rolled her eyes at me.
Oh hell no...
I held in all my rage and swallowed it, in one dry, bitter, sour gulp. It was then I remembered something. Before when Jay and myself were being introduced to everyone. I noticed inside Conie-
"How long?" I spoke up while we walked.
"Excuse me?" she did a 180 and looked me up and down. Like I was some sort of weird slimy fish that just slapped her across the jaw.
"Your baby? How long until he - or she - is born?" judging by the look on her face, she was incredibly surprised (which is a big understatement).
Conie took a step forward, grabbed my arm with her hairy fingers and gave me a death look that made me regret opening my mouth.
"How did you know about that?" she hissed.
Suddenly I lost the will to shove words together. "I-I-I um....don't-don't...."
"Damn..." she whispered and placed a hand to her flat belly. "Here; is your room," she opend a door and shoved me inside it before following.
Okay now, I have an extremely dirty mind and I do not cope well when there is clearly going to be a confrontation. So all could think was 'Oh my god I'm gonna get fucked.' Or something along those lines.
Joy was already in my room, so she jumped up on me then barked. I hissed at her to stop but all she did was wage her tail and jump back onto the bed.
Conie had her back up agenst the door, rubbing her temples. "Now...I will ask but once more. How did you know?" she sounded like a deadly snake ready to fill me up with its venom.
"Well...um...you see..." I took in a breath and gathered up my words. "It was...like I could see into you. Dunno how I did it tho'," I shrugged and hoped she would take that as an answer.
"Damn!" she paced up and down. "You speak of this to no one. Understand?" I nodded my head like a bobble toy. "Good," she sighed. "I should have known that you would find out."
"Um..." this game is highly confusing, anyone agree?
"Your Third powers enable you to see into people. Read their thoughts, control their actions and so on..."
Um....damn.
"What so that's the Third's power?" I rubbed my chin. "What about the other two? Jay and Ashi? What powers do they have?"
She smiled at me. "You are like a clueless baby. The power of the Second is incredible strength. Enabling them to break through objects, carry extreme wights, you get the point. And the First is swift, a true leader. Ashi is able to doge anything, strike fast and cleanly along with having small time control. However he has never shown off that power."
Ever heard of a little thing called the Chaos Theory, Conie?
"Okay," I stretched out the word and shook my head. "Thanks for showing me to my room. I won't tell anyone," I traced an X on my chest.
"Thank you," Conie said nodding her head slightly. Before leaving the room she turned to me once more. "Oh, one more thing. You are not to leave the room. Ashi has requested it," she then left.
I let go of the breath I was holding in. "That! Was hard work."
I flopped back on the bed. Which was a bad idea. Turns out, the bed was hard and made my back hurt. "Ow!" I grumbled looking at the ceiling. Could things get any worse? I thought to myself.
Joy huffed as she got onto her legs and began to lick my face. I made a sickly expression and pushed her away. "If I wanted rules I would of brought my mum with me," I said to the dog. "Why am I telling you, all you want is petted. I'm gonna go see Jay," I got up and rubbed my back. "You wanna come?"
Joy replied with a sigh, followed by her curling into a ball.
"I'll take that as a 'no' then?" I exited the room.
Conie wasn't kidding when I couldn't go out. A guard was positioned a few big steps away from my room. Before he could turn his head and see me I ducked and sprinted out of sight.
It was then I remembered I had no clue where Jay was. Which totally hindered my plan.
"Sonofabitch," I hissed to myself as I walked forward.
I must have walked aimlessly for a good few minutes, ducking and diving whenever I heard someone. I would then listen to the voices get fainter before sneaking away. Then I heard a familiar voice. I thought I'd smelt a bitch.
"I must say this place is outstanding, wouldn't you say so?" someone was with her but I didn't recognize the voice.
"I do, could use a woman's touch tho'," a soft but menacing voice was with Crodela. "Which should not take long."
The voices didn't get faint - which I was glad for (why yes I am nosey).
"Yes. Bal will be a wonderful husband," Crodela said with a half hearted voice.
"What is troubling you m'lady?" the menacing voice said.
"Oh, nothing - I hope," she hissed. "It is that girl. The Third, Third. I do not like her," yeah well I'm not very fond of you ya cow!
"Why?"
A sigh came. "Because of Bal. He clearly is happy that he has finally found the person he must protect-"
"Oh I see. She will become a bit of a problem."
What?! Why am I the problem? Why is this game so fucking confusing?!
The voices started to move again. In my direction! I panicked and started to run back the way I came. I think they might have spotted me but I didn't get the chance to find out. I huffed out sharp breaths when I felt that I had escaped.
"A problem? What the hell?" I said to myself. "I gotta find Jay-"
"Enjoying a nighttime stroll I see," I turned around and almost screamed with all my might. "Yo! It's just me," Jay waved his hands and my heart beat roared in my ears.
"Don't fucking scare me like that!" I smacked his chest. "Tryin' to give me a heart attack?" I rubbed my fore arm over my brow.
"My bad," he said clearly not caring. "We need to talk."
I just could not say, "Are you braking up with me?" surprisingly, he didn't laugh. "Oh come on, that's funny."
Jay took me back to his room. When I sat on his bed I was slammed with the feeling of tiredness. I yawned while watching Jay standing with his back up agenst the wall.
"Quite the bad-ass," I mocked.
Jay ignored my insult. "I was wondering. If you and Ashi both have - what are they - protectors. Then why don't I?"
I shrugged my sholder, yawning.
"How long have you been up? 'Cos you haven't quit yawning," Jay pointed out now standing in front of me.
I just started straight ahead and said the first thing that popped into my head.
"You do realise that it looks like I'm about to suck your cock," I like to believe my facial expression made Jay laugh that little bit more.
He put his hand under my chin and made me look at his smiling face. "You wish," I giggled. "But seriously. Get some sleep," he let go and stood straight.
"Um...I can't," I smiled nervously. "Ya see. I have not a fucking clue how to get back to my room," I then remember someone. "Shit, Joy!"
"Never mind," Jay waved his hand. "You can just sleep here. Axile'll come and get us in the morning. Said he wanted to do some training with us. Combat a such."
Oh fucking great!
I groaned and crashed my head onto the pillow. "Thanks, Jay," I said kicking off my boots and making my way into the covers.
Instantly my eyes flashed open and I was back in the white oblivion. "Great! Yo mini me! Where are you?"
"Here, silly," I spun round to see the seven-year-old me. "Are you having fun?"
"Yeah," I said half heatedly.
"Listen," I looked back at me to see I had aged about two years. "Crodela, watch out for her. I'm getting some bad vibes from her. She sees you as a problem, right?" I nodded. "Just be careful okay?"
"I will," I said annoyed that I wasn't enjoying sleeping in a comfortable bed.
"Good. That being said I also want you to open up. Use the Third's power," she told me, now looking like the thirteenth-year-old me.
"How?"
"You'll just have to find out on your own."
Well that was fucking helpful(!)
