When I woke up in the morning we didn't have school because of all the snow so, I decided that it would be awesome to hang out with Serie and hunter. I could smell bacon seeping in through the crack under my door. I rolled out of bed grumpily and noisly slapped my feet down against the wooden floors, indicating I was awake and I wanted that bacon. My mother looked up from her bacon and smiled a sweet smile at me. "Hi honey. Someone doesn't have school today." She chirped. My mom was always and early bird which, I couldn't see how she could do that. I grunted and watched the snow pour down from the sky gently blanketing the ground.
"Mom would you mind if I just went out with friends today?" I mumbled sleepily. She nodded approvingly and I smiled with relief that I could see hunter and Serie.
"So what were you planning on doing?" My mother questioned meaninglessly.
"Just going out for some food and going sledding." I responded quickly and jumped up as she carefully placed the bacon on the plate as if it were porcelain. I snatched up 6 pieces and raced into my room eagerly. I threw the bacon down on the bed and dialed hunters phone number. I listened intently to the ringing and finally he picked up.
"Hey Claire, what's up?" He asked calmly.
"Hey Hunter, sorry if I woke you up, but, do you wanna come sledding today with me and Serie?" I asked him carefully.
"Sure!" He exclaimed, obviously excited by the offer. I smiled weakly.
"Ok I'll be around whenever." I said and shut my phone. I ate 2 pieces of bacon and decided to call Serie. I dialed her number and after 1 ring she answered excitedly
"Hello!" She shouted hyperly into the phone.
"Hey wanna come sledding today?" I asked not as excited but, awake now.
"Totally!" She sounded really energetic.
"Good be around soon." I shut my phone, threw it down and picked out a cute jacket to go along with my shirt and jeans. I slipped on my clothes, slammed my osiris's on and threw my coat on and darted out the door, dragging a sleigh behind me. I trotted down the street until I reached Serie's house. Serie was a blonde haired, brown eyed ball of energy while I was just a slug in her path, but she still loved me. I rang her charming doorbell and waited outside in the snow. She almost immediately opened it already dressed with her snowboard in hand.
"Lets go!" She laughed. I smiled back.
"We can't leave hunter out." I scolded her playfully.
"Oh, the boyfriend, sure he can come." She said less excited. She started to dance in the snow and I soon followed her spinning in the snow, the brisk wind biting at our noses. When we got to Hunters I raced Serie up to his front door like we were 10 again and rang the doorbell. He tumbled down the stairs and opened the door, boxers in hand.
"Oh, sorry, didn't realize... Urmmm." I croaked looking down at my frost covered feet.
"HI BOYFRIEND!" Serie screamed in his face. He gave us a pout and walked off to get changed. As we waited every once in a while I would throw a snowball at Serie and then act like I didn't do it. Her hightened senses should've picked up it was me but I just laughed when she looked around and then furrowed her brow. I peered in like a kid on halloween and saw Hunter no where. I scowled into the small window and then headed out back. I ran quietly up the back steps and tugged on the back door. It slid open with ease and I sheepishly ducked inside, hoping to see Hunter fully dressed. Silently, I listened upstairs for any sign of Hunter. I could hear him shuffling around upstairs, but, this was a reckless kind of shuffling like, things being thrown around and stomping. Serie ran in panting and out of breath.
"What the hell happened to you?" I questioned her. She looked up at me and held one finger up, signaling for me to wait.
"Chased..... Wolf....... Outside" She hissed through her teeth. My eyes widened and I darted upstairs, afraid to what I might find. And boy let me tell you it was worse than I thought.
