I realised that although i wrote in here before i didnt give any proper information about myself well here it goes...
My name is alex (alexandra really but i dont really mind alex)
I am a girl, i am fifteen, but am in a class full of oldies, well not really ther are mostly 16/17ish
I live in Australia, in victoria (maybe you have heard of melbourne?)
I like reading classic liturature, Im not very much into ya and modern things, but sometimes il read a really interesting book.
Although i did go therough a small twilight faze, I am not really that into fantasy because i feel it is really overdone ruight now, there are some exceptions, and pre 200's stuff is usually pretty good :)
I like meeting new people, and am fine with cunstructive critism as long as people twell me what to do to fix things :)
My spelling is terrible, im a slight dyslexic but i try to fix it as best i can.
I am an itellectual sort of person and will go up in a brain battle with anyone :p
I adore school and have a small but amazing group of friends.
I think i prefer classic style romances becauser i have never had one myself.
I am too scared to show friends my writting so i am counting on you guys,
Ok im done now

:smt039 Hi, Alexandra! (I love that name, by the way.) Welcome to YWS! :elephant:
I think you're really going to enjoy it here. I haven't met a single member who doesn't love this site. :) Everyone here is extremely kind and encouraging, and we all just want to make each others writing better. :D Never be afraid to post your work here; no piece of writing is a waste.

So...now for some very important questions. *nods seriously*
1) What's your favourite dessert?
2) What's your favourite colour?
3) Who's your favourite author? Favourite genre?
4) What genres do you like to write?
5) Ninjas or pirates? :smt027 :pirate1:

:D

So, welcome again. If you have any questions, want a review, or just feel like chatting, please shoot a PM (private message) my way. :D Also, if you have a question that you think may have already been asked, you can go here. People in green are also really good people to ask. They are the moderators of the site, and will usually be able to answer any of your questions. But everyone here would love to help! :D
Enjoy the site! Welcome, and happy writing! :elephant:

Hey Alex, welcome to the site! I love your name; I actually have a character named Alexandra, called Alex for short. ^_^

Anyway, you can call me Ranger, Hawk, RH, or whatever else you can think of! If you need any help or have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me or anyone else. We're all here to help. :D

So, classic literature and romances -- does this mean you're a Jane Austen fan? She's one of my favorite authors. Do you like listening to music? What type?

I'll see you around the site! :D

Cheers!
~Hawk

Hey there Alex. Your name is pretty cool, I must admit.Welcome to YWS :smt006 and I hope to read some of your literary works soon.
If you need any review to your works, I wouldn't mind it at all if you've asked me to review your stories. I love reading romance and children stories. <3
I am glad to find another classic literature fan :D Do you have any favourite authors?

Nice meeting you.

Hey there Alexandra!

Good to meet you and welcome to YWS!
"I am an itellectual sort of person and will go up in a brain battle with anyone :p" Awesome dude! What sort of things do you like? Me, I'm an engineering-science student and I love to talk about it. Or sometimes, theology, linguistics and stuff. Haha!

I've always been scared to show my friends what I write. I never understood this irrational fear, but blah. YWS is awesome, you don't need to show it to your friends!

Have fun 'round our forums!
Feel free to PM me if you'd like a chat or have any trouble around YWS.

Cheers!

Greetings and good evening, Alex. We're not a resort (yet), but the Society does its best to make everyone feel at home. There are groups for just about everything, and if you don't find the right one, you can create it.

That's just what translation is, I think. That's all speaking is. Listening to the other and trying to see past your own biases to glimpse what they're trying to say. Showing yourself to the world, and hoping someone else understands.
