Hey there guys! Well this is my first time actually posting my art-work. I did these with some oil pastels. I don't have a scanner so I had to use my digital camera. I'm not so proud of the second one but just see for yourselves...

So you get why I'm not so proud of the second one? The leaf doesn't seem very realistic. Anywho... I hope you liked them!

I actually like the leaf better. Maybe it's just that I don't "get" certain styles of art, but I can't tell what's going on in the first picture. What am I looking at? It looks like a rock formation, or something.
The leaf is pretty cool. I love the way you smudged the lines to make it look like it's blowing in the wind. Also, I'm partial to those types of leaves, because they look like hearts. :3
Incidentally, you misspelled hey.

Wow. I wish I could draw half as well! I really like the Island one. Seems very Dr. Suessish to me for some reason. The leaf one could use some refining but it still looks far and away better than anything I could manage. (since I'm constrained to stick men.) Thanks for posting this!
The first one almost looks like the outline of a person, though when traced in blue it looks like an actual island in the ocean. That, or I'm totaly wacked in teh head and I'm seeing things you didn't intend for me to see xD Either way, it's interesting.
The second one, I agree, the leaf doesn't really look realistic. However, I do like it The smudging helped give it a bit of movement-- honestly, if you would just draw the leaf a bit more curved/folded/(what's the word? xD) then I think it would look more realistic. Then again, surely I'm not an expert on drawing and perspective and whatnot.
Overall, I think you did pretty well. I remember how I used to hate drawing with oil pastels because they're difficult to work with compared to something like a pen or pencil, or even markers (but who draws with markers? xD well, actually, I do. haha.) so in that sense, I commend you. ANYWAY. I'm rambling. Nice work.
