Hullo! I'm a 15 year old writer from Pennsylvania. Call me Spica, please! I write loads of fantasy-based stories, though I like to make my stories a lot of genres put together, like having only one or two element fantasy in a story that would otherwise just be general fiction. My preferred genre is fantasy, so that's very prevalent in my writing.
I also write fanfiction (stories based on other people's storylines, like Harry Potter.) I still write fanfiction, but I balance that with original works, though lately I've been concentrating on my original works rather than my fanfic.
Uhm. Hmm. What else? Oh yes, since I'm interested in psychology as a secondary career (writing's my first choice!) I sometimes like to write in very dark tones, though sometimes it comes out as dark humour. I also like to write about "taboos", like incest and other things (most of my stories feature LGBT characters, as well as straight.) It's just really interesting to see how my characters would react.
I hope I haven't scared you away. 8DD;; I like to think I'm just quirky funny weird, and not 'omfg-BOGEYMAN-AHH-DON'T-EAT-ME' weird. Uhm. If I am, I wouldn't know. XD

Hey Spica! That's a pretty name, by the way. Is it yours in real life?
Fantasy's my favorite genre too. I like it best combined with sci-fi. Dark humor sounds like fun. It would be cool to see some of your work, if you post it.
You seem cool. I think I like you already. XD
Thanks for joining, and welcome to YWS! I hope you like the site!

No, but I've gone by it for so long it might as well be. XD
I do plan on posting some works, as soon as I polish them up I unfortunately haven't read much sci-fi other than Douglas Adams. XD;;
Thanks for the welcome! You seem pretty cool too

Douglas Adams is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!! I SO want to try a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster! (It's like having a lemon slice wrapped around a gold brick smashed into your head! xD)
:coughcough: Ahem.
Some good Sci-Fi reads:
Ender's Game
Ender's Shadow, both by Orson Scott Card
Old Man's War
The Ghost Brigades, John Scalzi
Time Quartet, Madeline L'Engle
Hmm. That pretty much exhausts my Sci-Fi collection thing- I'm a fantasy geek.
