Well, here's my obligatory First Post Ever!
My name is - well, what would be the point of using a screen name if I was going to tell you my name anyway? Just call me Plethora. I'm a philosopher, a manga artist, a Japanese language student, and sometimes even a writer of fantasy stories - hence my presence.
I'm a pretty laid back person. Feel free to chat with me, discuss with me, criticise constructively and even to poke fun at me, but I wouldn't bother waiting with bated breath for me to post pieces. I'm also slow, and a procrastinator.

I've been working on this one story thats kind of a cross between fantasy and realistic fiction, but its not science fiction either. I dont know what it is. Anyway, when I get around to posting stuff please dont slaughter it but dont treat it as if it were a kitten either. Thank you!

Hi I'm James, but JB to most, given the plethora of both jameses and 'blacks' (my surname, not the racial category) at my school. I'm 16 (just) and go to an all boys school (why Lord?!) in the suburbs of London. I'm a pretty easy going guy, like a good laugh and open tto all for a chat etc etc. I inadvertantly discovered an aptitude (i hope) and passion for writing and well here I am.

Hello to all, and I must say i am very impressed by the friendly, casual atmosphere I've seen so far.

Oh, and as the archetypal noob - what's with the whole 'points' system...? Any guidance / mild scathing would be much appreciated.

*wants to live in London very badly* I love Europe. From afar.

You get points for making posts, depending on how long they are, and you can also spend points in certain places like "The Lounge". They get reset every two weeks, I think.
