Hello everybody in the Art and Photography department

! So, I've recently been creating more and more photo manipulations with GIMP, and I finally feel confident enough to share some. I'd show you my first ever manip made with sumopaint, after an old friend introduced me to it, but it's just too embarrassing x3

Let's just say, I don't even speak with that friend who introduced me to photo manipulation anymore, that's how long it's been :c

Anyway, so I've got two to share with you all. The second one I'm a little unsure of, because that extra wolf just doesn't look right. Perhaps it's because of the shine it has on it? Well, that's why I'm showing you all it, for help and anything else you feel like sharing :3

I am no expert at this, but it looks pretty cool to me. The second photo was interesting...the second wolf kind of looks like a ghost wolf...almost haunting. I like it

XD I like the first one a lot, its almost perfect, very beautiful and wild looking, I love the color in it especially...but I agree with you on the second one...that extra wolf just doesn't look quite right...perhaps you could try putting it in a different position?

Hey! So, I don't know much about manips, other than I thought they were always photo manipulation fan-peeps made for non-canon couples. -.o But I'm a weird one.

Yet, I know a bit about art and photography, so I'll give my best shot. The first picture is very beautiful, almost a little eerie, and I really like it. The hind leg--the one closest to the viewer--is a bit off, but I think it adds to it in some way. I don't know.

For the second one, I have to admit that the other wolf, while generally good, blends in a bit too much with the background to be exciting and its front paws don't quite lay on the grass right. But I still like it. It's waaay better than anything I could pull out of my sleeve when it comes to photograph manipulation (because that isn't my forte).

Anyway, I can't wait to see where you go from here.

My SPD senses are tingling.

I know nothing of photo manips, so I just wanted to note- I prefer the first one. A lone wolf has more impact, or at least it does for me! Adding the second wolf makes me want to see the whole pack. One wolf is a lone wolf, many wolves should be a pack, no?

It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.

Thanks for all of the feedback up to now, I'm glad to know that I wasn't the only one that thought the second wolf didn't quite belong there.

And I wasn't really aiming for the second wolf to be ghost-like, but thanks for the feedback :3

@Justlittleoleme: That's a good idea, I'll definitely be trying that. Fortunately I've saved a copy on GIMP that can let me continue editing that, so maybe I'll tweak the wolf's color and stance some more c:!

@Cspr: I know where you're coming from, I used to think photo manipulating was just for people who wanted to look like they had unreal muscles or were painfully skinny.

And upon looking closer, I've now noticed the hing leg. I'll work on that some more, it blends in quite a bit so I probably missed it x3 And if I can't fix up the second wolf and make it stand out some more, I'll probably end up choosing some different stock.

@Nutty: Yeah, lone wolves are pretty awesome x3 I like your idea of having more wolves to make the second picture a pack, that would be a nice challenge for me to work on. Whenever I do things with wolves, I either do one or two, I've never done a pack. Thanks for the idea :3

These are really good! I love the first one a lot! It looks very realistic. The second one has its good sides and bad sides. First off, I think its really cool how the wolf blends in...but it kinda seems out of place and loses the majesticness of it. The colors of the second wolf and the background are too similar therefore making my eyes hurt. Maybe if you did the second wolf in a different shade...? I don't know, Im not even close to a photo expert. But they're both really great!
