Newbie

Hey YWS,

I'm new to the scene but I'm super exited to be here .

I am a 21 year old girl currently unemployed. I studied Graphic and Web Design but I realised that writing is my true calling it has been in my face the entire time.

I'm a bit nervous showing my work but I know that here I will get the best advice and encouragement .

Hello skye12! I have to agree with you because I was super nervous to show my work too. But I've gotten some great tips in making my writing even better. Can't wait to read some of your work!

Ooh, a web and graphic desinger, eh? I study both but just like you, I find writing suits me better.

Yeah, I was also nervous about posting my work on here and to tell you the truth, every time I do, my heart beats differently. Weird huh? But then I realise that I'm worrying myself for nothing- that's normal.

You'll find that this site will help you gain confidence in yourself and in the things you write so well done for the good find! Here you'll meet some really nice people ready to read and give you helpful critiques to not only make your work better but to encourage you to write more!

If you have any questions feel free to ask around or check out the 'Questions and Answers forum. There are always people ready to help others out on here!

Graphic and web design sounds pretty cool and they're useful tools, even in the writing industry. I'm sure you'd be really good at promoting your novels or others' work which is always a useful skill

Don't be afraid to show your work! The people here are really friendly and helpful so there's nothing to be afraid of. If you'd like me to take a look at something at any point, feel free to ask! I'm always happy to help a new member out ^^

Also, we have this system called a 'Buddy System' where the new member can choose an older member to show them around the site and answer any questions they have. The older member also reviews some of their work and can introduce them to other members, old and new! So it's a win win situation since all you have to do is be new
