I'm afraid that one day I'll have to speak the truth
about what
happened
that night.

I'm afraid that when I do speak, my voice will shake
and my
legs will
give out.

I'm afraid that no one will believe the story that I tell,
because it
ruins their
image of you.

Yes, you were a police officer hired to serve the greater good
but you used
your powers
in the wrong way.

I'm afraid that I'll never have a successful relationship,
because everytime
someone touches me
I think of you.

I'm afraid I'll be too weak to stand up and let my voice be heard,
even though
every second I don't
part of me dies.

I'm afraid
of the
truth.

Spoiler
Thanks for reading guys :)

Hey- loved the piece!

The story- the pain- is so real that it's heart-tearing.
I hurt for the voice who tells the poem.

I think the last stanza ruined it- however- it was weak and unemotional, I just lost all the pain from before.
I think the last stanza should be just: "I'm afraid." but that's just me...

Anyway- great great poem, I really loved it, it is so strong and emotional- and real.
I wish I had more to say- I wish I could have something more productive to offer- but I don't.

All I have to say is: Thank you for this poem, I wish I could have read poems like that more often.
Keep writing.

beacause it

Should be "because."

succesful

Should be "successful."

The first three stanzas were really powerful, and I quite enjoyed them. It got weaker after that, though. The first line in the fourth stanza seems a bit long, and I think you should directly relate his reason for being hired, and what he did.

Overall, it was a nice piece. I think it would benefit from some tightening, however.

o:
That's some pretty powerful stuff. I really like it, it conveys the doubt and pain in the narrator very well.
Great job, I wish I could write poetry like this, haha. xD

Your poem is very sad, but true.

I'm afraid I'll be too weak to stand up and let my voice be heard,
even though
every second I don't
part of me dies.

I'm afraid
of the
truth.

This is my favorite part, you just turn the whole poem for the better when you wrote this. When I say for the better, I mean you just explained how she was really feeling. I have no nitpicks, because, to tell you the truth, I couldn't really find any. keep writing!!

I really enjoyed reading this poem. It kind of gave me the creeps, which is a good thing. You really locked the reader in, and made them fill your characters shoes. I really liked it, and I can't wait to read more! Keep on writing!

One day I suppose,
She followed her nose,
And nobody knows where she went.
