For all of you who read Dream Deep's Pop Culture essay should read this. For those of you who didn't comment on Pop Culture, do not read this.
First of all, I agree with evertything that Dream Deep said. It doesn't matter who in the popular culture people try to emulate, the pop culture drives teenagers to act a certain way. The whole group of people who espouse trying to copy these people are the real kids in the eyes of the pop culture.
For you to say that people are not like this, just look at the public schools. The hip people are those who everyone else tries to copy. The unreal kids, the people who could care less, are unreal because they are not what the popular culture says they should be.
I think that you should think on this before commenting because Dream Deep's essay is basically a social commentery, based on what she's seen in today's world.
