Who Am I?

I'm your soul mate.
Who am I?
Wouldn't you like to know.

You and I,
We just fit.
We have so much in common,
And so many differences.
We balance each other.

I'm not saying I'm perfect.
Who is?
I'm not saying we'll be perfect.
We won't.
We'll have our good days
And bad days,
Just like any other couple.
But the true test of us
Will be what we do
After the bad days.

I might know already
Or you might be the one
Who has to do the convincing,
I could be your friend,
Your enemy,
Or a stranger on the street
You just brushed shoulders with
And passed by.

But we will meet.
Maybe not today
Or this year,
But we will.

You can search for me
From when the sun rises
Till when it sets,
And I'll still take
My own sweet time.
You may even
Try to hide from me,
But you can't hide forever.
I'll find you
Some day.

Hey Tgirly,

I really liked your poem. It reminds me of this book I read where this girl wrote letters to her future husband. Nicely done!

PM me or post on my wall if you have any questions!

Just by coincidence I've heard a song with exactly the same name, I guess that is why the title was so temptating to me.
As with grammar nit-pick there's only one small error. The rest is perfect.

I'm your soul mate.
Who am I?
Wouldn't you like to know.

The last stanza is a question, but you forgot the question mark.
I'm not saying I'm perfect.
Who is?
I'm not saying we'll be perfect.
We won't.

This is so good in so many ways. How can I say it: they're two crossed couplets...

But we will meet.
Maybe not today
Or this year,
But we will.

I think you overused but, but I like your sense of fate. It adds something dramatic to your poem...

So maybe you should stop
Asking
"Who am I?"
And start
Asking
"Who are you?
And who are you going to be?"

It should end on the sixth stanza, because the last makes it confusing. It makes me ask myself: "Why did she add this? And why this sudden reference to the future?"

Anyway I think you've got a very nice poem here. It reminds me of my troubled phase, when I wrote so many poems a day I organised it in series...

Anyway, good work.

Probably Luna Lovegood, although it's just too bad she didn't go after anyone.

The poem is sort of good, although it's not really much to go on if someone were to guess who it was - for all we know it could be someone you dislike or someone who just stares at that person from across the room. Lets just say it would had been better to have it based round an actual character - rather than some "would be" hopeless romantic is all I'm saying.

The last stanza is sort of confusing, I would take Gatherer's advice on this one as questioning who you are in comparison to who he/she is just confusing the reader and they shouldn't really be questioning who they are going to be: I think you went on a tangent at this point.

You have used too many words that just repeat themselves... you might want to proof read the poem just a tad. Other than that it's an okay poem, I've read worse.
