Hello ^-^ I'm new and awkward lol

Harro ^-^ I’m not sure what to say here really, so hiya franddz.
I doubt I’ll post anything--As of now—because the computer I use for my writing doesn’t have internet and my flash-drive is missing. So I obviously can’t transfer anything to this computer. *cries*
I’ve been writing sense early childhood, but I got serious about my life’s passion at age 11. I’m continuously trying to improve on my own personal style of writing and how to craft together readable story plots, so anyone who would like me to read their writing—as well as their style of it—just ask me! Maybe I’m a little young for this community, but I LOVE commenting on people’s work. So ask me, and I most defiantly will as soon as I can.

I would like to start of by saying, WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think you are young for the site. If you are young then I am really young. It sucks that the computer you write on doesn't have internet, have you tried a thumb drive? It would be great if you could review my poems.

Yay, an outgoing response XD I was sooo worried someone would reply with something critical or mean to say lol (I don't know why) I know how it feels to have your writing mocked by impolite people, AND how it feels to have overly polite poeple give you a gracious lie. SO I'll do my best here to give truthful but kind opinions.

Hello there, Charade. Welcome to YWS! We're stoked to have you. Yes, you did post this in the correct place. I wouldn't worry very much though about making mistakes, you're still new! Trial and error and all that.

But if you're feeling a little unsure of things and whatnot, there're a ton of users who are willing to help. All you have to do is ask! We won't bite. :] If you get lost, need something, or have a question, the people in the green names are great to go to for help. But I'd be glad to be of assistance as well for anything you may need or have questions about! Just post a comment on my wall or shoot a PM(private message) my way, and I will get back to you with whatever you need. This also goes if you need a review on a work.

But anyway, I hope you're enjoying the site so far. I know first joining it can sort of seem like a big place, but really once you get to wandering around a bit it get TONS easier. So explore! Most of all, have fun. ^-^

Welcome to YWS Charade!

I'm Grif, one of the many friendly moderators here on YWS. One of the things we try to do is make the site as warm and welcoming as possible. If you have any trouble with anyone or if you have questions about how to use the site, just send me or another Moderator a PM and we'll take care of it.

One of the features you might be interested in is the Storybook forums. This is where writers team up to write stories. In fact, I've got one that's just starting that you might be interested in. Here is the link. Storybooks are a great way to practice plot weaving and character development. It is also a great way to become familiar with other writers.

Another neat thing to do on YWS is to write reviews on the works of others. If you write one that is long enough, you will start getting points; these posts count as reviews. At the moment, there is a little note underneath your avatar that says "Reviews: 0" After a certain number of reviews, you get a star. The more you review, the more stars you gain. After a certain point, they begin changing color. Snoink has done over 3,000 reviews on the site since joining and she has her own special pig stars.

If you're very competitive, then you might try competing in review competitions. We have leaderboards on the front page that tell us who has done the most reviews in a day, week, month, or even in total.

If you want something less stressful, we have hundreds of stories that you can casually read from and review.

To get started posting your own writing, click the “Submit” tab. If you want to read other works or critique, go to the “Discover Works” tab and find a category that you'd like to look at. It might take awhile to learn it all, but you'll likely get used to it! ^.^ Feel free to let me know if you ever have any questions or want any critiques – I critique just about anything. Im glad we have a good writer in our mists, Ive been serious about writing since I was a child as well. Since my family was always moving from place to place, I sat in the car writing about what I was seeing. Around the age of five I started. First it was a diary my mom got my started on. Haha, I want to follow my mothers footsteps. I want to become a great poet like her and a writer so. I can thank my mom for getting me started in writing. What made you want to writer?
