Hey there Butterfly, and welcome to Young Writers Society! My name is Heather, but your free to call me anything you want (I'm often called Arris, Arrish, Fire, etc). Haha, I'm sure you'll find friends in the future for Facebook, though you should be careful who you share your info with, just like the other Heather (Kitty15) said.
To get started posting your own writing, click the “Submit” tab. If you want to read other works or critique, go to the “Discover Works” tab and find a category that you'd like to look at. It might take awhile to learn it all, but you'll likely get used to it! ^.^ Feel free to let me know if you ever have any questions or want any critiques – I critique just about anything. Below are a few things that I suggest you look at, so that way you understand the rules of the site and you can also get any help you need.
Questions and Answers – Like the other two, this is great to check out. You can ask questions here and get help from other members, or you can help members later on. You can also look at previously asked questions. =D
The Knowledge Base – This is another great place to check out. You can see several guides and tips regarding writing, and post your own with the approval of a moderator. =]

What kinds of things do you write? o: I'm not much of a poet myself, but I do enjoy reading poetry. Same goes for lyrics! Otherwise, I'm all about stories. Prose, and I dabble in scripts.
Do you do anything outside of writing? A gamer or athlete? Maybe musician? Or something I'm missing completely? You could certainly find members here that share your interests!
