Okay. You know the drill. Used the same camera as always the piscio waterproof HD one. Don't ask how I got this angle. Bad things happen at that angle. Anyway! This is a tree in my backyard, its nice, pretty tree. I used picnik for edits, boosted the color a bit so I got that nice green, adjusted the sharpness to get the texture in the trunk a bit better. Other than that, I didn't change it too much. Critique as usual.

The color is nice, but it's a bit bright and overexposed. Also, while the trunk is sharp, all those leaves in the foreground are really blurry. I think it would look better if you cropped the picture to where just the trunk and a little bit of the leaves were showing, and then lowered the saturation just a little so it wasn't so bright. I'd like to see how this looked straight-out-of-the-camera. All in all, this is an interesting shot, just the brightness and blurriness make it a tad hard to look at. But you'll get the hang of it. =]

Honestly, I liked the original shot better than the edit. It couldjust be the fact that I live in the country and I appreciate the beauty of the world. I don't know. But don't get me wrong, the edited picture isn't bad. That's just my opinion on it. The edited picture is a lot brighter and brings out exactly what you were looking for. The leaves are vibrant green and the trunk is very textured.
Just one small nitpick about it: maybe you made it too bright? In the original there's a distinct difference between the leaves of the tree and the grass below it. When you brightened it, the leaves turned the same color as the grass. Now when I look at it, I have a little trouble finding the place where the leaves are.

Hey there Ty! You've made some progress with editting.
This is a nice photo, I like the way you made it look more warm and you made the color more lively, It has some great editting and borders.
The only problem that I have with this photo is that it relies too much on your editting. The subject, which are the branches of the trees, seem dull to look at, and there are lots of things going on the photo. Try to take a good angle of the shot, I can see rays from the sun, try to incorporate this on your photo was taking it from the side, making the rays visible. But I think you did a good job in this, since you climbed up in a tree in order to take this shot (That's what I think, since you took that shot from a branch or something.). Try to take a more lively subject, something more interesting rather than branches of trees or leaves, try to take a photo of a doll or people doing strange things.
Don't worry, effort and perseverance is all that you need in order to be a good photographer. I hope this helps! Have a good day.
