Hello There

Hello YWS Community, nice to meet you! I'm Esther, a sixteen-year-old writer-obsessive currently alleviating boredom in Science class I love reading anything and everything, and I'm hoping to get some good feedback on a couple of the stories I'm working on. I'm currently writing a fantasy mystery called Day and Night, which will hopefully make an appearance on here once I get it into chapters and all that fun stuff. I also write a heap of poetry in my spare time.
Any hints and tips will be gratefully welcomed with open arms and virtual roses, or another virtual flower of your choice. Oh, and I love chatting with other people who write, so come say hello sometime!

I write fantasy myself so I hope I can be of some help when you post your novel up. I'll be sure to look out for it and review it for you if you like. Although you can find forums with different tips on how to write here most reviewers will give you their own tips when they review your work and they really do help!

So I see you've joined our wondering troupe. I hope you know what you're getting yourself into. Once you walk through those gates into YWS there is no going back. It's like an endless party where you have to keep going to win. A dog eat dog world. Do you really think you can handle it? Nah, I am just pulling your leg, we're not that bad (well most of us aren't that bad).

Welcome to YWS! Horray! Imagine that with flashing colours of the rainbow. I worked on it myself, hope you like it!

So everyone has really briefed you on what happens here which makes my welcoming seem a tad to late but I'll give it a whirl. As you know this is an environment for writers and as such we value everything that you have to place on this site whether that be a novel/ art peice/ poem. Personally I hate poetry so steer clear from me because I don't know the difference between a stanza...and some other poetry word-terminology. If you ever want someone to review your work just post on my wall or shoot me a PM and I'll be happy to help, and that's practically with everyone on this site.

We're a kind group and any who enters our ranks is a member for life. Like one big, fat family. Now I can't help myself, this is just what I do, endorse my favourite area of the site. Storybook RPGs. We always like to have new people so if you're ever feeling bored just wander down that track, the more, the merry!

I hope I haven't scared you off now, I have a tendency to do that, you know? Have fun on this site, I can practically garuntee that you will. No one can resist the temptation of YWS. Good luck!

It's a pleasure to meet you Silver. Hopefully by now you're settling into the site and finding your way around but if there's any questions you have, feel free to come to me. It's a lot to take in at once so it may be a while before you've seen everything YWS has to offer - have you looked at the storybooks section yet? It's well worth checking out and if you follow that link you'll find a thread with information on what storybooks are and such ^^

Hi, Silver! Welcome to YWS!

It's so awesome to meet you, a fellow fantasy-writer. I'm definitely into writing and reading fantasy, all sorts, so I'm more than excited to see what you have to offer with Day and Night! I'll be sure to leave a comment if/when I see it!

If you're into fantasy, and you need to procrastinate some science ('cause we all do it anyway, right?), you should check out the Storybooks feature here. It's basically RPing, or co-writing stories with a handful of other members. There are some really cool Storybooks out there waiting for more writers, so feel free to sign-up and try one!

So what do you do outside of YWS then? Games or art? We've got some awesome artists here who do photography and things. There are also a bunch of athletes. Check out the clubs and meet some new people!
