Another drawing I just did for fun ^_^ I just kinda fooled around with layers and patterns to see what I could do. Colored on GIMP.

Let me know what you think!

Something tells me you should have a deviantart account. I remember scrolling over your drawings the first time you posted and thinking cute. But then as you progressed, you only seemed to get better and better. And this picture is evidence of that. Wow, you're definitely a lot better then me at doing this. Colours just annoy the flip-doipty out of me! Also, I don't review much art pictures but I'll give this one a shot. Anything to make you as good as those people on Deviantart. Have you seen how good they are? They're flipping brilliant!

I like the way you've done the eyes and the hair, especially the hair. With all the different strips of blue and white, it looks so great! Especially the way you styled it. I've always tried to get my hair to behave like that though patience and me aren't two to tango.

For some reason when I stare at this I feel cold. Like the colours you used just aren't lighting up any warmth in me. That's probably what you wanted, or maybe the lack of brackground creates this, but I feel so cold (in a metaphorical, prissy kind of way). Don't get me wrong, I still love this but maybe a background is in order. But reading the title, I see that you only wanted this to be for the hair. Hmm, I think the ear stands out a little much. It seems like you've just drawn it on once you've finished creating the hair. For next time, my suggestion would be to make the base with the ears attatched, and when you go about drawing, make sure that some of the ears are covered by hair. It's just more realistic.

Alright, I know, where do I get off trying to be all art freaky when the best thing I could ever draw was a stickman. I'm just suggesting as a critic in the future. Other then that, I thought this was marvellous. I think your face drawings are really starting to improve. Oh, wait, one thing I think you should is work on the skin colour. Add darker colours to define the shape of her cheek bones and other distinct features. Just some shading, that's all. I see you've added this but I think a little more is in order to make it seem more like one, simple colour.

Keep drawing, get a deviantart account if you don't have one and good luck in the future. I can't wait to see what you post on here next. Maybe a drawing of me? Cough - hint - cough.
I spy!

Hello xXTheBlackSheepXx,

I absolutely feel in love with this drawing, I'm one of those people that just can't draw things on the computer. It just doesn't work for me so I am frequently complimenting people on their ability to produce a satisfactory picture on a computer drawing or painting software. This was more than satisfactory though it was just incredible. I gasped when I saw this drawing and I couldn't believe that I would actually have to review this and find flaws in it but eventually I did, so here I am to review.

Firstly the eyes are a little to large for the head, I'm not sure if your intention was to make them exaggeratedly large. I think it was, but I also think you over sized them just a little too much. In my personal opinion I think they just look a little to large. Next time just try not to make the eyes so large they look far to strange in comparison to the rest of the head and facial features. The actual eyes themselves though are really good and they work really well with the rest of the facial features. Personally I think the eyes are the most 'anime-ish' part of your picture.

The next nit pick is pretty small but i still thought I'd bring it up. So you see the left shoulder blade? I think it looks like to much of a sharp jutting turn. If I were you I'd erase that and redo it working on making it have a rounder corner, just make sure that you don't overdo it and make it far too round though, that would again, look a little strange as well as having it to sharp a turn.

Another small nit pick with this is the angle of the ear. It sounds absurd but the angle of the ear isn't quite right. I think it needs to be tilted upwards toward the top of the picture. I also think you need to drag the top of the ear toward the left side of the picture, so that it is straighter and not so awkwardly positioned on the rest of the face, I think it would just look a bit better.

Overall this was a really good picture and I like the hair on this girl, I love the hair especially, the beautiful ranges of blues and whites and tinges of purple round the edges. I also like the red and pink in the eye I love the blending of colors in that as well. In fact I like the colors you have chosen for everything in this photo. They all really work together and the picture you have produced is truly fantastic, if you want any ore reviews then please PM me with the link, it has been a pleasure.

I like your shading a ton. The clothing looks really 3-D, like it's popping out at me. Your drawing is almost like a picture of an animated manga person. Keep on GIMPing! :D

This was made on the computer?

...

Wow. Of course, I feel as if I shouldn't critique this, because I go by a policy that you can only critique a work if your skill is equal to or higher than those of your fellow artists. Of course, I feel compelled to give my opinion on this, and you deserve to hear this.

You deserve to hear this because I am telling you I enjoy this piece greatly. Especially since it was made on the computer. If it were made with a mouse, my hats off to you. I could never make something like this with a tablet. And I have one. Of course, you never said which, so moving on.

I think this is a nice piece, honestly. I love the clean line work and I like the colors together. Even the color of the eyes, it makes them pop out nicely. I especially love the shading; its the perfect balance so there isn't too much light, too much shade, but not too much of both so it looks awkward. It's also very proportionate, except the eyes.

Now, I know this is an anime-ish style (yes, I know that doesn't sound professional...) and the eyes are supposed to be a bit abnormal, but even for that style, maybe a bit over-sized?

I still love the eyes- they look great to me, as you saw before, but maybe a bit smaller. Takes up a smidgen of her cheekbone.

But enough of that. Overall, I think its a very nice piece, and I think you should check out http://www.deviantart.com
I think you would enjoy the site- you can upload any piece of art you have for free! I think it'd be nice to have you there.

**EDIT** Unless you already have an account. If then, please link me; I'd like to see other artwork of yours :)
See you, Space Cowboy.

Okay, so I didn't read the long criticism. So don't get upset if I say some of the same things.

First of all, I love her hair. It's so colorful. Four different colors, from what I see. Very interesting. I envy her hair.

Next, her eyes caught my attention. They're huge. I suggest making them smaller next time. Even in comparison with her head, they seem very large to me. But i see that you've put a great deal of detail into them. All the little highlights. Even the lashes. It's very impressive. Also, I love the color, and how her pupils looks like upside down, crescent moons.

Her nose, unlike the eyes, seem very small in comparison with everything else. Very petite, but I suppose that that could be a real thing..

As you know, I'm not someone that cares too much about shading, but this seems shaded perfectly to me (which isn't really saying a lot..).

Her chin. Not a lot to say about it, except that it's too pointed, in my opinion.

Her neck seems to be an appropriate length, and I also commend you for your clothing choice. Like a robe or kimono. It's cute.

Overall, this is a beautiful piece. I'd definitely like to know about her as a person. Keep it up.

I must agree on some points brought up before that the eyes (while very well done) are way too big, even for an anime style, they draw attention away from the rest of the piece. The hair is beautiful as always, and I love the multi shade approach you took to it. That's not something you see very often.

The ear, I don't know if its due to the size of the eyes but the ear and eye seem way too close to one another. It also seems rather, undetailed, in comparison to the hair that surrounds it. I don't have a problem with the clothing being more simple but the direct contrast of the ear with the multi color hair threw me off.

This is mighty impressive for doing this on the computer. I may just scan the last drawing I ever did and put it up for the lolz.

Awesome drawing!!
The eyes are terrific! I just that his left eye is a little droopy. The hair is wonderful as well, but I would have chose a different color. Like maybe black, to give him a bit of a warlock vampire kind of look. I don't know.
Anyway. Awesome work!
Keep up the drawing!
