Yeah, so this is the final colored version. There. It's done. *passes out*

I don't even know how long this took me. I would estimate somewhere over 10 hours. Exactly 100 layers on GIMP (btw, GIMP users, the program starts acting kinda funny after the 80th layer. It's too much to load.)

Honestly, i'm sick of looking at it lol. Remind me to never spend so long on a single pic ever again xD

Tell me what you think, I love to hear your comments/critqies, good or bad.

Well, I think this is really good. There are a few things that needs to be fix. The arms on the girl. Give her elbows. Her legs needs knees too. The way that she is twisting her body is strange. Maybe add some details or shadows to show more of the twist in her body.

Well, keep drawing and writing. Keep practicing.

I agree, she needs elbows and knees :P Sense that's my opening statement, I'll tell you what I think of the girl first.

My first thought when I looked over to her was "Wow, her part must be to seduce the enemy.." No, I wasn't looking at her breasts, I was looking at how short you made her skirt. However, that pervy opinion out there now, I do like that you added wrinkles to the skirt, some people would've overlooked that while drawing. Now her breasts, they seem a little out of proportion with the rest of her body. They're either too large, or I don't understand the way that her body's twisted.. Oh, and look, her belly button :3 Her hair really draws contrast to the rest of her costume, but I personally think that it works here.

That brings me to her cape, long and silky. Why does she have a cape? Does it have some kind of special ability like Spawn's cape (comment on my wall if you know who Spawn is xD)? I'm assuming that it's probably just there for the hero effect. I suggest that you make her cape battered or tore a little somewhere, signs of a fight. I like the pattern a lot, but I can't quite make out what it is.. It looks like some kind of ancient or alien writing, but it's the same thing over and over.

As for her weapon, well I really don't like the way it's facing.. Not only is it pointing towards her ally, but it's overlapping his belt at first, then it overlaps the sword. Then as you move towards the tip, it starts expanding. I don't think that swords do that ;) The design on it, however, is elegant.

Now for the boy.

My first thought after looking at this was "His sword's gonna fall right out of his hands..." As you can see, he doesn't have a grip on the hilt, while she does. I also noticed that they both hold their swords the same way, but fighting like that would have no affect with those weapons; unless they're both double bladed or something.

Next I saw that you worked to give him muscles, but his face looks like a child. Her face and figure imply that she's only a teen or in her early 20's. This may be what you were going for, young heroes, like it stories. If so, congratulations. If not, well they still turned out good.

After looking over his clothes, I realized that he's wearing a... dress? It looks like a dress to me.. But who am I to judge that? Haha. Again, I don't like what you've done with her sword and his belt, but I'm overlooking that.

The one thing I noticed that both of them share? They're expressions. They both seem bored, almost in a daze. Perhaps they're exhausted? I'm not sure, but they're expressions aren't heroic.

Despite my long criticism, I liked this drawing. It reminded me of a video game. Especially the boy, he reminded me of Final Fantasy. Don't get discouraged, you can only do better!

Yo!

So, I've been sorta-reviewing a lot of your stuff lately, *cough* sorry, I just really love your style, especially the coloring.

For this one, I read the last review, and there's a lot of stuff I agree with, and a lot I disagree with.

Agree (I'm just putting the main things out here):
-Definately needs elbows and knees. 'Tis a must.
-The color of her hair against the white - I really like that. It works.
-The sword's pattern. Awesome.
-Breasts are a bit disporportionate. More shading too, maybe?

Disagree:
-Her sword. I like it, and because they don't seem to be in a fight currently (more like they're posing right before a fight) I think it's fine. Especially since this is anime, and not everything has to make sense. Also, it's not overlapping, it just has a nick in it, but that does look a little funny before you figure out it's how the sword's shaped.
-I'm pretty sure he's not wearing a dress, right? It's long jacket, or something. The coloring and shading on it is really amazing.
-Their expressions. I don't find them bored, they look more like that dramatic look commonly seen in these types of characters. I think they're fine.

Other:
-Even though she's viewed from the side, her waste is still too skinny. Just a tiny bit more thickness would make her look much more proportional.
-I think her bellybutton may be up a bit too high on her stomach.
-His hair is quite fluffy. It might be too big, but that's just an opinion.
-His belt is a little too far down on his waist. It's like it's sitting just below his waist.
-I know you did this a while ago, but the hands are still not quite right.
