Actually I was surprised how good this pic came out O_O I couldn't have spent more than two hours on it. This is probably one of my favorite drawings, just because it's one of those that kind of come to life.

Let me know what you think, critique is always welcome :D

Also, I'm probably going to change the name. Sorcha means 'dark princess' which doesn't quite fit her.

I don't normally critique art, but here goes.

The first thing I noticed was her left hand. Starting halfway down the forearm things started going way out of proportion, especially her fingers. Same with the right hand, but this time her fingers seemed a lot longer and the hand seemed, in general, very crooked.

Also, on the left, right above the elbow, there is this funny curve on top that gives a strange-ish mental image of what the upper arm looks like underneath the sleeve.

Which brings me to another point: Did you intentionally make the sleeves so different from each other? One is long and clingy, whereas the other is short and flowy-loose.

The head and neck are amazing. Her hair especially, gives her so much character. Just one little thing, her lips. On her right side her lip seems so much...ah...larger? Like there was a blot of paint or something that dripped and wasn't blotted in time for it to set.

Despite these few minor flaws, I can see what you mean about her "coming to life." She's got a character, that's very obvious. Fantastic job, I envy your talent!
Shakespearian tongue-twister:

To sit in solemn silence
In a dark, dank dock
In a pestilential prison
With a lifelong lock;
Awaiting the sensation
Of a short, sharp shock
Of a cheap, chippy chopper
On a big black block.

Whoa that's cool! Just one thing: One eye seems...bigger than the other. It looks weird. I like the bigger eyes o her :) makes her look really pretty. But the other smaller eye is more human-ish. :P I have no idea what to say really except...wow...it's really, really good. Well have a nice day :) hope I get to see more stuff by you.

You're new? Great seas! Why haven't you gone to the Buddy System yet?

You're dealing with writers. The words "normal" and "usual occurrence" do not compute.

She seems so.. odd.. in a bad way..

Her hair's awkward, but that's just because it's such an original style.

Proportions are almost thrown out the window (for her arms), as stated above xD

Her face though. I love how you put so much detail on her mouth in such a small drawing; though I'm not sure how intentional that was.. and it isn't even much detail, it just looks.. right. Her left eye seems very dark, almost like it has a black pupil, while the other looks lighter. Her expression is also interesting; almost curious or confused.

I really like what you did with the light source and how it even overlaps her in some parts.

The clothing really bothers me. Only one sleeve? And why's the neck hole so large? Pretty bra color though ;D

Her arms scare me... They make her look demented. You know, like.. Well, I can't explain it, but they do. Her left arm mainly, it's just out there like that.

Overall: This is a pretty picture if I don't look at the arms (they really creep me out). I like it for the most part.

No offence, but I agree with Twinseed. The arms are creepy. The forehead looks big, but I do love the detail you put into her face andthe clothes. If it was ment to be a dress it is very pretty.

I really like it I suggest you bring her bangs to cover her forhead so it looks .....not so big.... Well hope to see more work from you.

a spactacular YWS writer!

I only know that learning to believe in the power of my own words has been the most freeing experience of my life. It has brought me the most light. And isn't that what a poem is? A lantern glowing in the dark.
