**I tried to symbolize how people these days, mostly business people, may act like they care about nature, but will eventually return to "civilization"**
Corporate Earth
I watch the world outside
Give way to what's in store;
I see our nation divide,
Close the gap between the door.
You can speak the small birds' whistle
And embrace the browning owls' hoots;
Now break away from your missile
And shuck off your leopard fur boots.
I feel the top vultures' gaze
Burn dark holes into the sun;
I sense our short life's maze
Leaving all but room for fun.
You may heed the angry wind
And guide a stream down its road,
But let's see if you will bend
And return to your abode.
***Heed: Listen to
Abode: Home
Shuck: Slang; (1)to throw off [I don't know if there are other definitions for it]***
