Just a little introduction. I'm new here. I enjoy reading, playing video games, and writing. I like to write about fiction/fantasy stories. I would love to publish a book one day since I have a few ideas in my head. Hopefully, this site can help me out and make me a better writer. I hope I can meet a lot of new people here! Hello there. This site will make you into a better writer actually because this site has a helpful community. When you get reviews, one of the things to do is believe in how you want to portray your story. Your reviewers are mainly here to help you, not write for you. I'm an open reader which I guess means that I'm open to any type of genre of books, if it's good. My favorite author is Laurie Halse Anderson. She is the best author I have seen so far. I'm not so much interested in horror books because they just creep me out but anyways..enough about me. I hope you enjoy it here and I hope you are able to get one of your books published one day. Don't be intimidated if you get a harsh review. In life, you will receive all types of criticism so just make sure to be prepared. I wish you lots of luck and I wish to see a work by you one day. I haven't been reading mcuh recently (and I'm quite ashamed about that) but I read alot of poetry and drama. I've been away from books for a while now and I don't really know why. But the last very good book I read was a collection of 4 well written mysteries and one of the writers was Mary Higgins Clark. I love her books.

If you want to make friends, all you do is click that 'follow.....' button. It's simple, there isn't really a whole 'add frien' system thing.

Hello ChalkyUKnome and welcome to the site! YWS is definitely a great place to sort out all those ideas in your head, it's nice to get a second opinion on things.

I usually write general fiction or romance and that's kind of what I prefer to read. I think my favorite book would have to be "The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood" by Rebecca Wells but currently the Hunger Games has captured my attention.

I haven't read that series, though I think I might have to now. Anything with Nicholas Flamel in the title is worth checking out! My favourite books are possibly 'The Wheel of Time' series by Robert Jordan which is an epic fantasy of epic proportions! I have favourites for every genre though and could be here all day if I tried to list them all xD

How are you settling in? The site can be a little confusing so feel free to ask any questions you might have and I'll do my best to answer them.

Also, there's something we have called a 'Buddy System' where new members can pair up with an older member who helps them find their way around the site. They review some of your work and are a great port of call for anything you need or are unsure about. I'll leave you with the link in case you're interested.
