Hola, amigos!

I've edited and made three new ones. Thanks for the advice. It never occurred to me before that I need to make the cover vertical, which is quite silly and thoughtless of me. The earlier version, which is still an entry is in the Spoiler. :) Enjoy!

This one's for you, Skinsy! xD!

Thanks, Lamster! Love you!

Thanks a ton, Mom. This is my first attempt at making a novel cover on my own, even though I've got a long history of failed covers. Maybe it was Skins' epic novel's feel that made this what it is. :)

Thanks both of you.

Hi there!
This is a really pretty novel cover. It makes your novel seem very interesting! I love the five square sequence, and all the people who seem very frustrated. I'm not much of an artist or photographer, so I can't really give pointers. I don't think you would need it, because you're cover is amazing! Good luck in the contest! Awesome job and keep it up!

Hey, shiney1 here :)
I love the colors, for one, and the emotion is clearly communicated here. Great job on that!
But since I do dabble in the arts myself, I will give you a full review :)

1) The words are the first thing that jumped out me. That's not bad, but the pink words cover up so much, and the "and" right on top of them makes the picture look a bit messy.
2) Like I said before, the quality of the pictures are wonderful, but some of them don't really match the word that is printed on them. I don't know if you have more pictures to make it work, but that is just something else that jumped out at me.
3) The right bottom picture kind of bothers me for some reason. Maybe it's because the effect lessens the uniformity of the rest of the pictures.
4)The font of the pink letters is a bit too flashy. It's pretty, but maybe something like the font of the other words would be much better.

I know I gave you an eyeful, but you can do what you want. Nice job :D

Woah, this is awesome =] My one critique, is that its horizontal instead of vertical. Which makes for a sideways novel. lol. Other than that, this is really fantastic =]

Shubhi dear!!

Ee! Awesome! Whatchu do it on? Quic comments :
1.Title : Colour = change. Not bold enough. Either make it pop out with the colour or change the font. This is too messy and difficult to read.
2."Novel by Skins" - Again too small and colour issues. Can't see it from far. You need something that attracts your attention from 2 feet distance, even if it isn't visible.
3. Background : Good job. :)
4. Size : Main quip. This isn't a regular book layout? it's a vertical rectangle, no? Fix this mainly.

Cheers! And any questions, I'm a PM away.

Hey there!

I have to say, this is pretty good except:

1.) The photo placement doesn't really make a lot of sense. Maybe you could try to tell a story with the photos for he cover. Make on centered, with the "details" around it. Otherwise, it just looks messy and confusing.

2.) The purple letters don't match, and the font is distracting. The decorative font doesn't add anything, and in fact takes away from the overall harmony of the cover/banner thing. Try to use colors that complement each other. When we try too hard to make things stand out, they can end up having a negative affect on the cover. A smoother font and calm color would do a lot better.

3.)The words don't make too much sense, either. What does "love, lie, and stop and Stare" mean? It's kind of irritating when you see two 'and's' and it feels as though words are just slapped on to seem cool...
'Drama' doesn't fit within the sentence- are you making a sentence? When adding extra words to a cover, they need to make sense and give the reader insight into what the book is actually about. Sadly, that does no such thing.

Overall:
I'm not too keen on this cover. It's a little overdone in the wrong areas and the colors don't harmonize as much as they need to.Of course, these are all suggestions- do not feel coerced or forced to take them. I edit images/book covers/photos all the time as a pass-time, so I might come across as too much or mean- by all means I apologize.

Other than those things, nice job! Whhhoot!

Keep Writing/editing/everything-ing!

Hi Mia! Nice cover you have made here. I haven't read the previous reviews ( they are too much & very long written in fact :D ) so I might give repeated comments. I have entered the same contest but iI wouldn't mind helping at all)

So lets get started!
1) I love love love love your choice of the photographs. The carry too much emotion and perfectly fit the theme of the novel.
2) I am kinda bothered by the horizontal layout of the novel cover, it should be a vertical one. If it had been resized to a vertical shape of a novel cover, the photos would ...bam!... shrink :( . That's a serious problem.
3) I dislike the editing style of the bottom right image. It is kinda odd. I'm just suggesting, why not removing this image and put the title of the novel and the author's name there, instead of having them above the other images?
4) I like the font type of the novel's name but try to increase the color brightness a little. As for the author's name, it appears too simple when comparing it to the novel title. Maybe you could use the same font type of the novel title or a totally different one but remember to increase the boldness. The font color of the author's name doesn't fit. It is too dark.
5) Love, Lie, Drama. If you insist on adding those ( which personally I won't like adding them ), you can place them in a vertical way giving it a descending way like:
Love
..... Lie
...... .. . Drama
I didn't like the font type of it. Try using something softly written in a beautiful italic way.
6) Some pictures appear to be border lined, like the one on the top left corner. If I were you, I'd remove it so that it would be like the other ones, non- border lined.

Hope that might helped! Good Luck in the contest : )

Hey
Okay so I think this is very nice but I just don't think it works as a book cover only because you don't really see a bunch of pictures on the cover of the novel you know? I think this is more like a collage but still it's really, really nice.

Here we go again, Shubhs dear!

So, onto #1.
I actually quite love this! It's interesting enough to pull a reader's attention and it's got that mystery-ness that would do well for her story. (Although, I haven't read much of it). I do think "Stop, Stare" could have a different font colour, or have an outline.

#2.
Love this too! I love the idea of 'stop and stare' here that you've showed in the images. Font is done well too! Good job! No particular quips, except perhaps the non-long-rectangular layout.

#3.
Mmm, this is the least favourite of mine. There's so much going on in the bg of the novel cover and the text isn't standing out. It's too cluttered.

G'luck!
