Hello, all. I know I’ve done this before (and it wasn’t exactly a win, my fault mostly), but I’ve decided to try it again (because it was fun and prompts are awesome). So I’ve stream-lined some things and set down some more ground rules. Basically, read my rules, think about if you want a piece of artwork that would fit within those rules, and then hit me up (by filling out the form and waiting patiently--artwork is not instantaneous, even if it is faster to create than a novel).

Base: I am not a master artist, hence do not expect perfection or art at such a high level it belongs in a museum. Also, anything that you ask me to draw will have my spin on it because I will be drawing it using my style--not yours. I will try to make it as close as possible to the details you provide, but people can be tricky. However, I do have a good grasp of human anatomy and a way of putting ideas down on paper in ways that make them look like how I imagine them. I’m offering to draw humans for the most part, with some small wiggle room. I can do them either in manga style (mostly shoujo, though I could probably wing other styles) or my own 50s-influenced looks-pretty-realistic people. I can do head portraits (nicer term than mug shots), profiles, full-body pictures, and other. I can do basic backgrounds and add basic props (I’ve gotten a thing for knives and swords). I can also do humanoids (such as manga cat-girls, vampires, etc.) and dragons if you so prefer, but most other things wind up rather cartoonish and not in a good way.

Note: In payment I request reviews (on my own work--on which works is mostly up to you, but please look and see if you can find something up your alley). Reviews with good grammar that are not flames. I love good criticism, but flames are way beyond that. In general I will ask for one review when it comes to one character. For more than one character in a scene or a non-human character--well, I’ll work out the details with you depending on your request, okay?

Rules:

1. I do not draw naked people. Okay, so I start off with naked people and give them clothes, but do not ask for me not to dress them, capische?

2. In relation to rule one, I do not do romantic/'adult' scenes. Keep your requests PG-13. Also, I’m not the best at drawing people kissing. I’m working on it--but my ‘rents are sort of old-fashioned and it’s not like I really can, if you know what I mean. (Keeping things hetero may bode well for me as well, but if it’s not obvious it’s fine.)

3. I can attempt to draw your character with a pet or pets but it may take longer and the payment may be different depending on what you request. Cats and kittens, puppies and small dogs, and other easily drawn animals are preferred.

4. You can request another drawing if the one you receive is not up for par. However, please tell me what’s wrong with it, otherwise I can’t really help you.

5. Action scenes are okay, but too much detail is a no-no. A bunch of soldiers fighting behind your character, a dragon your character is fighting, etc. all count as extra characters, too.

6. I’m shilling character sketches here. Try and keep detail minimum except when it comes to the character. I want the character to look perfect. Everything else should be muted, though.

7. If you want more than one character in an art piece, message me and I will send you a proper form. There are too many possibilities to make forms for. That is, I only have a single-character human/humanoid form created. Knowing that you know to ask me specifically before you make a post if you want anything else so I can tell you if I can or cannot do it.

8. Try to avoid asking for two characters in an art piece, basically. That pretty much explains my rule.

9. If I object to something, don’t ask me to do it again.

10. Try not to complain if it takes longer than I said. Feel free to prompt, but please don't whine. No one likes that. Sometimes RL is just horrid or your request is difficult for me personally.

I’ll try and do four drawings every week. When school starts that number will drop. However, I will continually have four spots no matter how fast I do them. How quickly they fill, empty, etc. is relative.

If a spot is not open, you can leave info and I will work on yours as soon as possible. However, until the others are done I will not be working on it. Just FYI.

COMPLETED
ultraviolet's request for a pseudo-realistic dark pencil with shading sketch of Adah Edric. (Check your inbox, ultraviolet!)
Rosey Unicorn's request for a pesudo-realistic colored pencil drawing of Kerani. (Check your inbox, Rosey Unicorn!)

Be aware I reserve right to the artwork and that if I wish to put it on deviantART, sell it, etc. that is up to me.

(Also, I class this as a writing activity because it is directly relational to writing--as in, I’m drawing people’s characters for them. Book characters, short story characters, poem characters, etc.--whatever they want. Feel free to move this if needed, however.)

Character’s Name: Kerani
Character’s Sex: Female
Character’s Age and Perceived Age: 15, perceived as 17/18
Common Way of Dressing: Loosish pants with a short sleeved top and a belt that holds two daggers and two small pouches behind them.
Particular Outfit You’d Want: Black pants and a deep ruby red short-sleeved top (semi form fitting), with matt black leather belt and two daggers at her hips in black sheaths with black handles.
Posture: Warrior's straight back and braced stance.
Ethnicity: Indian (like, India Indian. :P)
Hair Color and Style: Really dark brown (nearly black) cut to her jaw/mouth.
Eye Color and Shape: Brown and large almond shaped
Facial Shape and Distinguishing Facial Features: Heart/oval shape. Straight nose with rather full lips, but her most prominent feature is her eyes.
Skin Tone: Light brown
Height/Weight: 5'5" and about 115 pounds
Scars, Birthmarks, Etc." Here we go... She's got a scar that goes from right above her jugular (on the left) to her ear, and a small, hairline scar on her right cheek. Her arms are spider-webbed with scars, most prominent ones are on the inside of her right elbow, diagonal across her left forearm, and on the outside of her right bicep. Tons of smaller ones, though.
Other: She's got a lot of lean muscle despite having an hourglass figure.
Human or Other?: Human
Manga (and What Style) or Pseudo-Realistic?: Realistic
Background: An open courtyard with a garden and fountain.
Action (Standing, Sitting, Laying, Etc.): Leaning against a round column facing the "camera", one leg crossed over the other (leg closest to the post crossed over the leg farthest)
How Arms Are Held: Crossed
Head Tilt/Turn (Straight-Forward, Tilted Left but Straight-Forward, Turned to Right, etc.): Straight forward despite her body being angled in towards the column.
Prop(s) (Knife, Sword, Cane, Ring, Necklace, Wings, Etc.): Gold ear cuff on her right ear, in the arch of the ear.
Medium You Want Drawing Done In (Light Pencil, Colored Pencil, Watercolor, Dark Pencil with Shading, Dark Pencil No Shading--Ask if I Can Do It if It Isn’t Listed): I'd prefer coloured pencil, but black and white with shading will also do.

Character’s Name: Adah Edric
Character’s Sex: Female
Character’s Age and Perceived Age: She's 16, looks around that if not a little younger.
Common Way of Dressing: More casual, comfortable, but always nice (as in, sloppy doesn't bode well for her). Generally, trousers over jeans, long-sleeved shirts, often times vests, things like that.
Particular Outfit You’d Want: Medium green long-sleeved fitted shirt under a plaid vest. Stud earrings. A necklace with an immature pinecone for a pendant, if possible.
Posture: Just standing casually, with her arms at her side or something.
Ethnicity: Um... not a real ethnicity. I guess the closest would be some sort of European. In her world, she lives far north, where it's really cold.
Hair Color and Style: Golden-orange, if not a little redder. It's fairly long, mostly straight with a slight wave. She has side bangs that just flow naturally to the side of her face.
Eye Color and Shape: A green, not overly bright but not dark. Solid - with little variation. They're shaped almost almond, but a little thinner, harsher angles. Just slightly.
Facial Shape and Distinguishing Facial Features: Her face is kind of heart-shaped, but thinner. A little angular, but not overly. She doesn't really have any distinguishing features, though I did one describe her facial features as being slight. I kind of picture them like Taylor Swifts, in that they just kind of are absorbed when you look at them, like a cartoon character that's looking straight at you (but obviously not that drastic).
Skin Tone: Very pale. Like I said, she lives far north, so they don't get a lot of sun there.
Height/Weight: About 5'4", 115 lbs. Slight frame, thin. Muscular, but wiry so you don't really see it.
Scars, Birthmarks, Etc. None.
Other: I've described her with color, but I'm going to want this pencil-sketched. I just kept that information in in case it affected the shading. That's all.
Human or Other?: Human.
Manga (and What Style) or Pseudo-Realistic?: Pseudo-Realistic.
Background: None necessary... I mean, if it looked empty you could do like a brick wall or a tree or hill or something... but I wouldn't care if you skipped out on that.
Action (Standing, Sitting, Laying, Etc.): Standing.
How Arms Are Held: At sides, relaxed, but her shoulders are slightly back for good posture.
Head Tilt/Turn (Straight-Forward, Tilted Left but Straight-Forward, Turned to Right, etc.): Maybe tilted a little to (my) right? But still looking at up.
Prop(s) (Knife, Sword, Cane, Ring, Necklace, Wings, Etc.): Well, the necklace I described with her outfit if possible.
Medium You Want Drawing Done In (Light Pencil, Colored Pencil, Watercolor, Dark Pencil with Shading, Dark Pencil No Shading--Ask if I Can Do It if It Isn’t Listed): Dark pencil with shading, thanks.

If any of this doesn't make sense or is too complicated, let me know and I'll explain myself/simplify it. You asked for a lot of details, so... yeah, I tend to describe things in ways that don't really make sense to anyone but me.

Thanks!

The simple truth is that authors like making people squirm. If this weren't the case, all novels would be filled completely with cute bunnies having birthday parties.
