What's your favourite word?

Iridescent: This word is fun to say and spell, and it sounds beautiful in itself without even knowing what it means.

Glycerine: This word, like iridescent, is fun to say and spell. It's also the title of a beautiful song, and an ingredient in the majority of my homemade cosmetics.

Sardonic: This word, when spoken, sounds exactly like its meaning. Even if a person has never heard the word before, just hearing it in context describes it perfectly.

Androgynous: I love this word because it perfectly describes me, and because it's more fun than saying, "Neither masculine nor feminine." Not to say I'm not technically a female. I was thinking in terms of face, voice, and personality.

Schadenfreude: Need I explain this one, really?

Callipygian: I'm personally very callipygous. (I'm kidding...just so you know...the word means having shapely buttocks. )

My favorite word is "the." If ever there were a word that English should be proud of, "the" would be it.

But I'm also fond of "nonchalant" and the German word "Quatsch" and its related form the verb "quatschen". "Quatsch" is nonsense, more or less, with the weight of saying "Oh, that's BS" (the weight of saying the abbreviation, I mean, and not the full word). So, to quatsch with someone is to speak ridiculousness stuff with each other, verbal messing-around that amounts to nothing. 'Tis brilliant.

...and I also like 'tis.

Hmm, my favorite word? They would have to be words I use frequently so there are definitely a few;

~ Exuberance
~ Denigrate
~ Grotesque

I think that would be my top four. Not exponentially hard words, but ones I particularly like.

I have ... many words that I like, all of which I cannot recall at this moment. So the word I'm going to say is:

Utter. It can be such a gentle word during your writing, but the reality of it is quite a humourous one .... Or, should we try for a cheesy pun and say, hu-mooo-rous!?

Beautiful/Beaut - Say it like you mean it, and you'll get what I mean.

Smile - This word makes me smile. Naturally.

Ocean - Tranquil, adventurous word with beautiful memory-connotations. Love it.
