So I went to Girl's Camp this week and the deer did not seem to be afraid at all. I was able to get real close and take some nice pictures. They even looked sometimes! I chose some of the best, did some fancy stuff with them with Picasa, and here are the results: (and yes, I did change some. Don't be confused by that first comment! I found it very helpful!)

Hey Sassykat! You're so lucky you got close enough to a deer to take photos of it. Whenever a deer roams around my neighborhood, I grab my camera and it has disappeared before I can hit the shutter button!
The first photo is my favorite by far. I love how you faded the photo; it looks all cool and ~*~mystical~*~.
In all honesty, I'm not too crazy about the sepia tone and B&W on the last two photos. I think these effects work better when the subject of the photo is larger and easier for the viewer to focus on. In these photos, I almost had difficulty picking the deer out from the trees and bushes and sticks. Do you know what I mean?
Remember, these are just suggestions, and they may be silly ones at that. Have fun and keep chasing after those deer!

Hey! Wow okay that's really cool that you got so close. Were you ever afraid they were gonna like jump at you or something? haha. Did you get close enough to pet them? Your pictures are very nice. You're pretty good. I agree with Abigail about the black and white photo. If you know how it would be cool to have like everything in black and white except the deer. Or maybe even vice versa?
That's a lovely looking deer! I am glad it is not a shy one, so that you would come up with those lovely photographs. #1: Great capture! I love everything about this picture. I like how the deer is leaning to get food and how those plants are leaning along with the deer. It looks spontaneous and simply gorgeous! #2 & #3: I like the increased-brightness you have made in this photo. The poses the deer had made also looks cool. #4: I agree with unsocialbutterly and Abigail about not choosing the black and white effect in this photograph. You have lots of details in this photo and would all give a mixture of lovely colors so the black and white effect is not such a great idea. I love your photography skills as well as your bravery to capture all those photographs so close to the deer. If I were you, I'd freak out and run! haha
In my not - so - humble opinion, these are the best pictures that I have ever seen. Cool photos! I love the color and photo quality a lot!
I think that you people must have been quite scared when you went next to the deer. You might have thought that the deer could jump at you at any minute!
I think that the deer were probably used to people clicking photos of them, so I guess it's okay. Below are my comments on each of your photo's. The numbers go in the order of the pictures.
1: The first photo was cute but I guess that you could say that it was quite mean to take pictures of it eating. Also, have you noticed that you cannot, how hard to look, see the tail?
2: I think that the deer was going to go to sleep or something.
3: Okay, taking a picture of it's behind is just plain rude. Guess that was why the deer turned.
4: The picture quality has changed, but I don't mind. The deer looks pretty cute in this one.
My favorite photo was the first and the fourth. Did you touch any of them?
Anyways, this might be a chance to get real photos of deer that you may never get again.
