For those of you who haven't already heard, all Borders stores will be closing this summer. Unfortunately, after a year of backruptcy and a withdrawn bid on the company, it's going to a few liquidation firms. The 399 stores still open will begin final sales as early as this coming Friday, and all stores should be closed by the end of the September.

Thankfully, that means that all of us currently employed by Borders have until the end of September to find another job, since we aren't immediatley shutting down.

But, that means if you have giftcards or borders bucks or anything like that then you should go spend them!

This makes me cry. :( I'm gonna have to find my way to a Borders some time soon.

That's horrible! I guess now the only source for real books will be Barnes and Noble. Doesn't really affect me too much, but still that's crazy. I've mostly moved on to ebooks now anyway.

*sniffle* We...we have this Borders and cafe...I love that place to death. It's where I go to get high off caffiene and snacks, and to read myself blind. D:

The one by my house closed several weeks ago. They had everything on sale so we went and I bought loads of books, but I was upset it was closing. I practically lived in that place.
