So I came up with the outline for this ages ago, but gave up on it because I didn't feel like I had the skillz to draw it yet. I recently dug it back out of my closet and figured I'd give it another shot. The cape was the only thing I couldn't find a good reference for, so it looks weird to me. I just finished this inking at 2 am this morning ^_^

Wow. Those are really big blades. ;) I love the different shapes and details you added to the swords. I can't find anything to critique on the boy...he looks good to me. :)
As for the girl...I thing the left side of her chest (my left, her right) comes out to far for the way her body is turned. Other than that, she's proportional. :D
Hmm....the cape. Maybe the curve parallel with her bellybutton should curve up instead of down slightly. And maybe the big swooping edge on the inside (the line overlapped by the tip of the sword) should be less straight. I don't know. I've never tried to draw a cape before. :)
I really like this piece. I love that you have a story behind it. :) This is one of my favourites from you. *clicks 'like'*

This is pretty much amazing. I looove the girls expression a lot. The only thing I'm only slightly iffy on is the proportion of the boys face, but take that as a grain of salt. This is fabulous =]

Geez, dude, at least give me SOMETHING to review!!

I love this. Like.... really really really love this! Your proportions are definitely great, I see SO much improvement from your other full body artworks. These don't have that "squished with an anvil" feel to them ;P (and I mean that in the nicest, funniest, way possible!) I love the dynamic poses and the wrinkles in the fabrics are all so well done. The different shapes and designs on the swords are so eye catching at really really amazing. Geez, I couldn't do that.... Remind me never to enter an anime drawing contest with you. ;P

Okay, now that all the obsessive complimenting is out of the way, I have two critiques for you, and one of them is really tiny. The first is the elbow in the girl... uhm... where is it, exactly? Haha You can't tell where the upper arm ends and the forearm begins. That's the small critique. And that's the only thing I find in need of tweaking with the girl (I love the cape, by the way. It's so flowy looking, and even though you couldn't find a reference and think it looks weird, I think it looks very good!)

As for the boy, the longer, more important critique of the two, would be his hand. It's definitely awkward looking. First of all, that sward looks pretty damn heavy! (pardon my French) So the way he's holding it kind of delicately is kind of weird. Seems to me like he'd drop that thing preeeetty quickly with that dainty grip. Also, where's his thumb? In that position, you would be able to see it. I would suggest holding something of (almost) the same width, so that you can get the position of the hand somewhat correctly (it's kind of a hard position, but even if you just get the gist, it'll be fine)

And DANG!! Another long review! Man.... I seriously don't know how I do it.

Absolutely wonderful. Wish I could draw like that. But I would have to say that the girl's sword is in a weird position.

As always excellent work with expression and the smaller details. Personally I didn't find anything wrong with the cape. I agree with the above reviewers that the body limbs are a bit iffy. Theres no joints or flow with the arms, they kinda remind me of a the little men I made out of playdough. See it's odd because the boy's arm looks pretty good, and the hands are noticeably better, at least on the boy. The girl's legs could do with a few touches of shade, so that even if the limb isn't overly detailed you give sense of light casting itself off a part of the human form. (and you've done the shading very well everywhere else)
Props on the hair, as always.
Once again, well done.
