Spoiler
This is not an attack on men, I know some great guys that would never hurt me like this. This is an attack on what I was told as a child.

I cannot hide that I'm a woman,
though you've no idea how I've tried.
There's no mistaking what I am,
my butt's too big and my hips too wide.
But there's a deep aching within me,
something damaged in my chest
I want to explain without you thinking,
lewd comments about my breasts.
Growing up I was told that I,
am lazy, weak and not as sharp,
an accessory to another gender,
and everyday that has torn me apart!
With every slap my dad gives me,
with every snide comment or sexist remark,
with every joke about cooking,
with every attack on my heart,
I'm learning that I am worth something,
more than just having kids,
and cooking the perfect dinner for,
an insolent, sexist, biased, pig!
I will not let my daughter think,
the same way my father warped me.
She can dictate her own boundaries
there will be no pre-set, female destiny.
