About a year ago, when I was 12. I got hit with the Harry Potter bug, and wrote some fanfiction...It was awful. Completely awful. I started writing original fiction when about 5 or 6 months ago.
It's a surprise that I didn't start writing sooner, I've been devouring books since I could. Except for in sixth grade, when I was convinced that reading was for nerds, and that I didn't need one.
*bangs head on desk* What on earth was I thinking? My mind is still recovering from that one, my memory isn't good (Did I mention that I felt that I needed to be like the people who can't remember [i]anything[/]?), and I'm not used to devouring books anymore.
Oh well. Plenty of time to catch up.
After I stop procrastinating on this site...
I want a unicorn. Just saying.

Probably when I was about 7. I loved writing short stories, and I got into other types of writing and started writing seriously when I was 11. I had always been a fan of reading and writing things ever since I had the ability to, though.
Honey, you should see me in a crown.

I really don't know. I remember spending nearly all my time in Reception at the writing desk, but I have no idea at what point I started writing. I look back, and being a writer is all I've ever known.

I've written stories for a long time...before I could even write I think, Lol. I remember one night when I was in Kindergarten, I told my brother to write me a story, but I told him what to write and he helped me a little. I think it was called like "the lonely flower" or something like that! Lol. But believe me, that was still a stretch to me being appropriate for school... my minds been messed up for as long as I can remember. And just the premise of the story was sad.

I'm still putting a smilie at the end of this: :D

I started writing at about the age of twelve. Before that I had, for as long as i can remember, always been thinking about strange things and places.

Eight. I am quite sure I started at eight. Some quest thing with a mostly female cast. At thirteen I discovered my juvenile work and was so horrified I buried it in the compost bin. The sunflowers are dining on it now, probably.

Now I'm fifteen, and I'm glad I started at eight. My work is comparatively far better. :D
Remember when the platform was sliding into the fire pit and I said, "Goodbye!" and you were like "NO WAY." and then I was all, "We pretended we were going to murder you."
That was great.

Five. I used to write these two sentence looking things and do a massive drawing to compensate for the white space in the page. I found one a few years ago. All I can say is: how the hell can a house have bird wings?
I spy!

I started at age ten. I had had a weird and scary dream (I hardly ever have good dreams, wah) and my friend, who's obsessed with fantasy and the paranormal, told me it was a vision from the other side and I had to write it down.

I didn't believe him, but I wrote and finished it. It's currently one of my most revised work, going into its third remake and I don't even want to know how many revisions.

I'm glad I started when I did, because that's about when most of my friends' imaginations were starting to die down. I wanted to hold on to my creativity, and writing has preserved it completely.
hey, Jude, don't make it bad
take a sad song and make it better
remember to let it into your heart
then you can start
to make it better.
