So much emotion, too hard to handle
I’m moving past devotion and
Moving onto scandal
I’ve left all reason at the door
I won’t speak words any more
I’ll stay silent, so I can’t fight it
Numb my limbs till they are sore

Feeling the movement inside of me
It’s like emotions and words
I never thought would be
Could I give up life forever?
Or the one I knew for years.
And even though I am well versed
In poetry and wise words
These movements, the heartbreaks
They always lead me here
To the edge, the edge of the universe

Falling fast and falling hard
I landed on the pavement
Rolling down underneath the ground
It’s obvious I cannot trust
Because the lines moved
And tried to wake-up
Me in my state of mind
So harassed, so out of time

Fighting words and fighting sounds
Is what made me leave the life I found
Is it too late to go back to safety?
Yes it is I can say safely…
(Cause sleeping tonight is not an option
Process all the words I’ve found
Lost in all the broken ground)

Feeling the movement inside of me
It’s like emotions and words
I never thought would be
Could I give up life forever?
Or the one I knew for years.
And even though I am well versed
In poetry and wise words
These movements, the heartbreaks
They always lead me here
To the edge, the edge of the universe

I loved this poem. I felt like you wrote this from your heart and not your mind. This spoke really deep to me and left my mind wondering.

Wow - this poem is simply amazing! Each and every word is perfect, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it (and I'm usually very picky).
Great work :)

As I've told you before, I'm in love with this piece! :D All of it seemed to come from a vault of emotion buried deep within you and nothing seemed to be fabricated, which is an aspect of your writing that I truly admire. It flowed with realism, and I feel honored just to have had the opportunity to read it! Keep up the AMAZING work! :DDD

From what I see on YWS is that most poets have a difficult time not only rhyming but also having every line flow to the next. Although, yours is an exception! This is a fantastic poem that not only reaps emotion but structure as well. I hope you will continue writing poetry!!
Reading is the sole means by which we slip,
involuntarily,
often helplessly,
into another's skin,
another's voice,
another's soul.
