Hi everyone,

I have no idea what I'm doing right now.

I've been looking around this site for a while and I rather like it. But I really have no idea how to give good criticism let alone advice, because frankly I don't even know if I'm doing my own stuff the right way u__u
but I think I'm gonna hang around so... I'm also looking forward to meeting new friends :smt003

as for review, just tell it like it is! talk about what you like and what you don't like, just be constructive. you can read over other people's reviews to get an idea of what's typical. :]

Hey, Canine. Welcome to YWS! Well seeing as you are new, I wouldn't worry too much about being a little lost. I was lost too when I first joined, but the more time you spend around the site, the more familiar you get with it. So you have the right idea!

Also, if you're a little iffy on the whole reviewing thing and possibly any other questions, here's a link that might greatly help you out. It's a thread of questions everyone has, so don't feel shy to use it! That's what it's there for.

Anyway, if you have any other questions, need some help, or are just looking for a friendly hand in general, don't hesitate to ask me! I'd be quite glad to help you out with anything you need so that your experience on the site may be a great one. Just post a comment on my wall or shoot a PM(private message) my way, and I will surely get back to you.

Welcome again! I hope you enjoy YWS.

Hi Canine!

Welcome to YWS.

Don't worry about giving good criticsm and all that. It'll come. Just read other people's post and see what they write and eventually you'll get it. And don't worry if you think your criticsm isn't as good as others. Everyone else have been here for quite a long time, so, naturally, they'd have more experience. So, just stick around and observe what everyone else write and you'll be fine. :)

There's also a whole bunch of articles on how to review. They can be found here. There's a few of them there, you don't have to read all of them. Or even any if you don't want to. But they are generally pretty good articles if you're wondering what your reviews should be like. They helped me out with my reivews loads. So, the articles are very good.

Well, I guess that's it for the moment. Don't hesitate to PM if you have any questions. :) Hope to see you around the site. :)

Hey Canine. I'm pretty new here too, so I know how you feel. When you are reviewing, just tell the author whatever you think they need to know. You'll do great! Just a tip, ALWAYS check the notifications button at the top of your screen to see if anything important has happened. Review tons of work and save up points. Then you can post your own work (which I found really exciting and nerve-racking.)

Good Luck,
Keren

Hi I agree with keren the notifications button is really nerve racking I'm always wondering when its going to tell me I have a message. I always look at it like "is it gonna change????????" and it hasn't (yet)so still waiting!

Welcome!
