Canada Day / 4th of July

It has to do with money. A fireworks display on the 4th is very expensive. You can save as much as 75% by having it on another day, which is something country clubs have almost always done and a lot of towns/cities are starting to do due to the poor economy.

That makes a lot of sense, but it's really surprising.

As for any chance of fireworks....well, considering the massive burn ban currently in effect because of the drought, well, that's out of the question. What an awesome July 4th, eh?

Extrapolating from previous years:

- Family will go downtown to stand in the hot sun for an hour or two to watch the pet parade, which is basically a bunch of exhausted dogs in costumes panting as they walk down the street.
- Epic squirt gun fight
- Hot dogs and chips for lunch
- Lazing around the house, trying to catch a nap
- Watching the fireworks that go off at the top of the butte at 10 p.m.

Haha! I wish. I'm packing to go to camp. Not sure if I'll see any fireworks or not. >> lol

I'm just sitting around on my computer. I didn't even realize it was 4th of July until 12. I'm a terrible American haha.
