Help, please!

Hi, I'm new here and I have absolutely NO idea how to do things here. I would love to make some friends around here. Also, how do you post writing. Please help! I have no idea what to do!

P.S. I want to be an English teacher. (That's not really important, but I thought you should know it)

Hello keren!! Welcome to YWS!!

Don't worry if you don't know what to do, lots of people feel that way when they first start (including me!!) but it is so easy to pick everything up!!
Making friends is also easy. Everyone is friendly and everyone gets on with everyone else, even if they don't know them, so everyone will be willing to help if you need any help. (I said everyone to many times in that sentence!! )
Posting is really simple. Once you have a piece of work you want to post, click on submit on the bar thing at the top of the screen and click: " click here to submit ". Then just click on the forum you want your piece to go in (poetry, fantasy, etc) and the rest is even easier!! Either type your work in or copy and paste from a word document (or whatever your work is saved in if it's already on the computer) and click submit!! Make sure to check through your spelling and grammer first though because bad use of grammer and incorrect spellings will be the first to be reviewed!!

Also, I think it's great you want to be an english teacher!! I want to be a primary school teacher and specialise in engish so were kind of in the same boat!!

Don't worry about being new. I used to be too and now I pretty much got the hang of it here. It's really easy after you figure out how to do things here.

First things first. Breathe in. Once you've done that you can breathe out. Good, now that we have oxygen, we can move forward. I am the only cold hearted person around here, so there's really not much to worry about. Aside from my fangs.

YWS is a community in which everyone helps everyone. We post our own writing for others to review. We review the work of others to better understand our own writing, as well as to help others. All of the literary forums can be found simply by selecting "Discover Works" from the toolbar above. To submit a work simply click submit.

There's a moderated Chatroom linked from the front page where you can talk to and meet new YWS members. This can be done in the community forums as well, though the process is not immediate.
