Part one
“Death...” That was the only word being repeated in my mind over and over again. I don’t know exactly how it all happened, but after the blood donation everything seemed to fall apart by the seems. My parents Mr. and Mrs. Fray, adopted me when I was just a young little girl. I don’t know who my biological parents are and that brought me here in Australia. I have always lived here in the sunny wide open free grounds. The wildlife was part of me. The animals all of my friends that I might have never met were all a part of me. Except I never knew that half this life I lived was a lie! What would be different? Would my name still be Skyler? Would I have met everyone I have to this day? Would I go to a better school? Would I have even ever scene this continent let alone live on it? The next hundreds questions started giving me a headache and thats when I thought for sure it wasn’t the dehydration that was going to kill me.
It looked as if it was around three in the afternoon, when the sun was at its hottest beating down on me in the desert sky, where my parents had abandoned me. Although maybe I should start calling them Evan and Jill. I couldn’t take much of this anymore! The only thing I ever saw was sand! It was everywhere I looked, it wouldn’t stop for miles! In the sand were some cactus and vaulters patrolling the area but I still got this empty alone feeling...Then BAM! I fell to my knees sinking into the hot pale yellow sand, just praying this wasn’t the end! “Hello!” A voice called from a distance. I began to see small blurs and people rushing toward me as I tried to sit up. “Hello? Are you alright?” The frantic voice asked concerned. “I don’t think ‘alright’ is the best word to describe how i’m doing but i’m holding on” I struggled to say. “Medics are on their way to help you, you look dehydrated and sick. Don’t worry though we can help you” I tried to open my eyes to get a full view of the stranger. All I could make out was a boy. A boy who looked to be the age of about twenty or twenty two. He had beach-y blonde hair and crystal clear blue eyes, similar to mine. We both actually looked somewhat similar. My hair is darker but we have the same eyes.
