That's a bit of a tall order. In short, we have the forums (divided into Community and Literary); blogs; the chat; and oh, yes, storybooks! Those are were you and a group of other members cooperate on a story. If you're ever bored, check into them.
Do you see the "Discover Works" in the middle of the black bar? That's a link to the Literary forums, where most of the writing goes. (We've got an Art & Photography forum as well.) To the right of that, it's My YWS (where one change's one's account settings), Storybooks, and Submit (you can go here to easily post a literary work.)
Hello, and welcome to YWS! I hope you're enjoying yourself so far! Stori gave you the general basics. You can post any of your work here, but remember to rate it if need be. Do a lot of reviews; more people will want to review the work of someone who reviews their own. If you want some help getting around the site, check out The Buddy System to get a mentor. A mentor will guide you around for a whole month, review your work, and help you get acquainted with the site and other users. Read through the information pages for the mentors and send one of them a private message if you'd like them to be your mentor. Have fun! I'll see you around. -Sea-
