Hello Everyone

I am 18 years old and can speak English and conversational Portuguese that is improving. In a year or two I am hoping that I will be able to be somewhat fluent, and really, really want to learn Japanese as I have been in love with Japan since I was nine and my parents got cable tv and I watched an episode of InuYasha. I still consider myself a kid and refuse to admit that I have grown up. I will not be adult.
I like reading and writing fantasy fiction and am a wee bit obsessed with the King Arthur myths and legends. I believe that I have studied them enough to spot when someone made an error when talking about it. As such I am a bit obsessed with England as well.
I admit that I am hesitant to post my work on a public site because I am afraid of proving that I really have no talent for words, but am pushing past that because it's my dream to be a writer. I have been on the site for a couple of days already reading stories and such, and can already tell that this site is going to be a good one.
If you have made it this far into this introduction, I am grateful and please look past my weirdness.

Take a look around the site and you'll find that we have lots of enthusiastic amateur writers here. So if you're writing is terrible, you're in good company. The good writers are those that have been on the site and have had their work ripped to pieces over and and over and over again. So, don't be afraid to write.

As the saying goes, "A smart man learns from his mistakes, but a wise man learns from the mistakes of others." That's why you should also write comments on the works of other writers. You might find yourself reading through a story and going "Ugh, that's bad. I'm never going to do something like that." Or you might find a really cool trick and say to yourself, "Hey, that's pretty cool."

If you run into any trouble, just let me know. We have a good staff of Mods, Jr. Mods, and Admins.

We are sooo glad to have you on our site, it actually isn't that hard, once you master it, and all of us are like awesome. (Not bragging, but we are. there is no denying it.) It’s a great way to meet other writers and, of course get reviews on your own work, and review others. You would not believe how much I've improved, and I haven't even been here a year!!
