Hope you've had time to search a little bit around the site. It's pretty easy to figure out, you'll see. If you ever need help, there are people whose names are written in green, they're Mods. Go ask them (either write on their walls or personal message them) and they will be much more help. And you can always come to me.

I will be your friend! Don't worry, people here are very nice and I'm sure you'll make friends easily. Chat's also a good way to find new people.

Hey, Scar! Welcome to the site. It's cool to have you join and be a part of YWS. I think you'll find that the site is a pretty great place to make friends. I was surprised in the first few weeks that I joined to see how many cool writers there are on here to meet and get to know through one simple common interest! I hope your experience turns out to be a great one too, but I have no doubt at all in me that it will be.

But anyway, if you ever need any help with anything feel free to ask me. I'd be glad to help you out if you have any questions or would like a work of yours reviewed. Just post a comment on my wall or shoot a PM(private message) my way and I promise to get back to you. ^-^

Also, you'll notice on the home page sort of in the middle of the screen there's an area that explains who's chatting in the chatroom. You'll see a block of names in orange and those are the users who are in the chatroom. You can enter it and basically instant message with everyone. It's pretty neat. You should try it one day!

It's also great because with the works that you do decide to post, you get feedback on what made your stories good/bad, and it helps you become a better writer. You also get plenty of tips from different people, and different perspectives on things, by reading them, of course. There are a lot great posts in every genre, so you'll never get bored with anything you read.
