Hello, YWS buddies:)

Hello everyone, and welcome! My name is Polina Stepanova, I am Russian but have studied English for over 10 years now. I am really looking forward to reading all that's on here and have you read my creations:)
I signed up not long ago, and I'm still working out how the site works. All of you are welcome to my site, where I have all my writing, and I really want the site to get some views:)
I have already published a book in Russia in 2010, right now I am working on an English novel called "Angst" (which can be found on the blog or the site). I also write songs for the singers in my school, poems, short stories and prose. I don't really have a particular genre although my book is fantasy/science fiction.
So, that's a little about myself, I hope all of you enjoy my writing, and I know I will certainly enjoy yours:)

Hi Polina! I can't wait to get to know you! You sound really interesting. Those 10 years of English must have been horrible. Even I don't know all our grammar rules and it is my only language! But you would never think that you actually speak a different language. But since you were 5! That is such a long time I suppose it is kind of lake your original language!

One thing you said was that your best work was on your blog. Well your best work next to the work on your site. This might not be the best. Even though blogs get a lot of views you will still get more views/reviews if you post your work under the literary forums. If your not sure how to do this just P.M. me.

So in short I hope you enjoy it here! I will be keeping my eye out for anything you post!

Firstly, thank you for such a welcoming and warm-hearted response, I can't wait to see your writing too:)
10 years is indeed a long time, but I am now in a English boarding school, so it's not too hard to keep the language skills up:D
Thank you so much for your advice, I didn't realize I could actually publish my writing instead of putting them into my blog:)) I will hopefully get used to this soon...

Thats really cool that you speak two languages! Especially the fact that they are so far apart from eachother is probably why I'm so astounded. Russian always confused me greatly so french was more my alley of study.

Either way, welcome, welcome, and I'm sure you'll find that everybody here is as friendly as anyone could wish for ^_^

Russian is often confusing to me too, all the grammar rules are simply endless... English is way easier in that sense:D I study French at my school, too, but I'm afraid I'm not brilliant at it:))

Hey Polina! I'm Nike, and I'm very excited to meet you! You've published a book already, wow, that's great! You sound very interesting and I can't wait to get to know your writing and you of course.

You know two languages, that's interesting as wel, I know Polish and English. But the grammer is so difficult in Polish that I don't really write much in Polish, I stick to English. It's great to have you here, so, if you have any questions, conceres, or just wanna stop by and say Hi, then PM me or comment on my Wall.

Hello! I'm Drama, the Llama, Pointe ect.

We are sooo glad to have you on our site, It acutally isn't that hard, once you master it, and all of us are like awesome. (not bragging, but we are. there is no denying it.) Its a great way to meet other writers and, of course get reviews on your own work, and review others. You would not believe how much I've improved, and I haven't even been here a year!!
