To read the story: viewtopic.php?t=81596

Okay, so I know the girl's expression didn't turn out right and the boy's eye blends in with his scar and his shirt looks a bit weird and I suck at drawing girl's chests and the picture is just over all messy but-

*breath*

Please don't tear it completely to shreds. Since I'm so fond of these characters - even though the actually drawing isn't great - just this once, could you go easy on them? Feel free to destroy anything else in my portfolio, though, if you really need to. :3

This'll make more sense if you've read the story, but the girl is wearing wolf ears, and the guy is the son of a dragon. So... yeah. I tried to make the ears less cat-ish and more wolf-ish.

Why you so worried?

I'm not very good a drawing but I quite like this! You got talent, kid!

Seeing this drawing makes me want to learn more about these characters and their story, which is good! I feel like one of them is a cat (the girl) and the other is a vampire/reptile. That is judging from the ears on the girl-I couldn't tell if they were a hat or part of her head-so you might make that more clear. As far as the boy his pointy teeth make me think vampire and the black circles on his face make me think scales/reptile.

To me, that red stuff around his eye doesn't look like a scar. It looks more like a burn in my opinion. A scar would be not necessarily thinner but raised on the skin and an off-flesh color. But I mean, it's not like if I looked at it I couldn't figure out that it was a scar.

Overall though I don't see any issues. Art is art capiche?

Swell job, keep up the good work :D

I like how you drew the characters out. And the way you posed shadow and wolf (I read the story yesterday) definitely gave the...romancey....look. Only one question: can you add on the story? The beginning was really capturing.

I am SO going to read this story.

My favorite part is definitely the scales on his face. I don't know why, but I love them.
Uhm, their expressions are extremely similar to that one drawing of yours, where you were also drawing two characters from your novel. Do you know which one I'm talking about? Anyways, I remember the boy looking goofy and cute where the girl looks a bit sad in comparison. It would be nice if you could add a little more playfulness to her expression, cuz right now she looks kind of like an older sister rather than a best friend (I'm assuming these two characters are best friends x))

But this is really adorable! Good job ^_^
The bad news is we don't have any control.
The good news is we can't make any mistakes.

Hello there :)
I love this, I really do. The drawing is really well done and I just want to applaud the idea of drawing your characters. It's a great initiative to spice up writing and I think I'm going to try it myself. I'm not an art reviewer so I don't have any constructive criticism in that department, but I just wanted to point out how much I like this.

Good job. I'll make sure to check out the story :)
The best is what you make it!

Huh. So, I ended up changing his scar to a burn in the story, so I hope you're happy. Except now he resembles Zuko from Avatar too much. I love Zuko, but I don't like copying characters. Oh, well.

Now I want to draw a picture where they're both smily and happy and best-friend-y. And Matt asked for me to write a sequel/continue the story, so I guess I probably should. Gyaa... I can't stand how I can't get my writing to turn out right, though. Grr... Oh well. As long as one person keeps liking it, I will be happy.
