So, yeah. My friend and I have gotten into cooking lately. We've got a bunch of recipe books and stuff that were my granny's, and their in her hand, so we can't really read them... :?

Anyway, we've tried simple things. And. Frankly. We fail.

We started out looking through this recipe book my mom's had for ages. We had two recipes that seemed simple enough, but we didn't have all the ingredients for either of them handy, so we sort of combined them to make this weird pineapple macaroni thing. It was alright. You know. Until a few hours later when you feel sick to your stomach...

Then, we decided to try rice. It's basically just boiling water. Not too hard, right? Wrong.

Guess what we slightly burned? We ate it anyway... it was alright and didn't make us too sick. We made quesadillas too, and they were decent. Edible. We were proud of them. :)

Anyway, that's about all we've accomplished, and so far, we suck at cooking.

So, yeah. The reason I posted here was to see if anybody has any recipes we could try to make.

So, if you have any recipes that you'd like to share, please do so. :)

Anyway. Thanks peoples! If we end up making your recipe, I'll take a picture and post it on here to show how it turned out.

Thanks again! :D

Heh, cooking is fun. Omelettes are fun to make. Just pour a few beaten eggs into a pan- with a lot of melted butter in it to prevent sticking- and let them set up. Then you add whatever fillings you want and cheese and seasonings on one side and fold it over with your spatula. I made a really good one with rocket, goat cheese, and vinagrette once. Or one with onion, tomato, capers, artichokes, and some good imported swiss cheese.
Honey, you should see me in a crown.

Yes! Join the Food Club so that I know where to look if I ever feel as courageous as you folks! I struggle with just-add-water-type recipes from the box. xD
I make my own policies.
