Sweet Droplets and Steampunk Clock

So today, It was really rainy, I like rain, it makes me feels soft and cozy but does make me bored and make my head ache. So to take care of my boredom, I went outside and saw droplets of rain on my pinkish-red umbrella, so I decided to take some a photo of it and, VOILA! this photo is for Allie, I hope you like this.



My brother was fixing his watch and he took the clock off of it and revealed most of the insides. I never knew the internal parts would look really beautiful, so I decided to take a photo of it too. (this photo looks somehow cropped, try to view the full image)

Helloello Vit!

Love the second one! The colours and the focus and the antique-ness that is intrinsic to such photos. Only quip is thatthing present in the top (background). It becomes distracting. And maybe crop off that hint of the strap-ka-holder-thingy?

Okay, honestly, I don' like this. I LOVE rain photography loads, and this comes off a boring, without much thought and an impulsive composition that doesn't make me want to *look* at it. I wouldn't have guesses it was an umbrella, if you hadn't mentioned. The lack of focus and exposure on the top half is distracting. Exploit the shape of an umbrella. Get some one dance in the rain or for it flip or something different.
[Hope I'm not harsh. It's just that I know what you're capable of, and you can do MUCH better than this.]

I will be reviewing your awesome pictures!! *Jumps around* I want to start off with saying that you really have talent! Those pictures look very professional and could come right out of a magazine or google or something!
I'll just start with picture number one:

This is a really beautiful picture!! It's really cool how the red lights up in the water drops. And I like how it goes from light to dark. I suggest you crop a little bit from the top though. I think it would look even better that way

Second picture:
This is my favorite one of the two. The light in this one is really beautiful and the internal parts are beautiful indeed.
Don't change anything about this picture cause it's just awesome XD

Actually, my friend (who has art experience, and was looking at the puppy picture) said it wasn't quite professional quality. To which I went O.o what the fridgenuts are you talking about? Because your photos look great to me. Anyway.

I like how you can see the texture of the umbrella in the first picture. Vely nice. (Misspelled to show pronunciation--I like saying it that way, for some reason.) I wouldn't be able to tell that it was an umbrella in the photograph if you hadn't given the explanation at the top, though. Unless you want to keep it ambiguous, try getting the top of the umbrella in--just that very tip, so the viewer can know, "Oh yeah, that's an umbrella. Cool." right away, instead of going, "That's a nice picture, but what in the world is it?" Upon further inspection, I can tell because of the ribbing and the way it slopes, but I'm not sure I would have been able to figure it out on my own.

The steam punk watch is very cool. Nice that you got the opportunity to photograph it.

.....I really, really feel like I should be talking about perspective and focal point and the techniques you used for taking/editing these photos (I can't tell, but I can tell that you used a quality camera and/or that you cleaned it up a bit before posting or something.... gah) but I really don't know what I'm talking about. (Really, I just like reviewing the art here because it's easy, and because I figure that even without a ton of art experience (I did take classes, but not advanced ones) I can offer something as an observer. Maybe. I hope. I think I'm better with drawings. *sigh*)

The thing behind the watch--is that the back of the watch? I feel it distracts from your focal point (<--there, see? *pats back* XP) ((which is obviously the watch)) a bit.

......Iiiii am using a lot of parentheses in this review. Oh well.

At any rate (trying to avoid anyway, I use it too much) these are really good pictures. I think it would be really fun as a photographer to explore that field and learn all you can--what you can improve on, different branches--so do that. ^_^
